What he did is he collected the pieces and he moulded them whole with his hands
And what she did was give him the chance to love her pieces
So technically they fixed each other
And used each other to get better

He promised himself he would never let himself fall in love again
Because everyone hurts you in the end

Then he met her
And little did he know
That their conversation
Their jokes and laughs
Their deep talks
Was changing him
And little did he know
He was slowly falling for her
Because she was making him realise
Giving him hope
She was his hope
And he took a leap
A big leap
He unlocked his heart from the dusty box it has been stored in
And he placed him weak vulnerable heart in her hands
And he held his breath and watched
He was scared
Because everyone else had taken that weakness vulnerable heart
And crushed it
But do you know what she did
She cupped that hurt
And she whispered kind words
And she blowed the dust off
And blew a protective cacoon over his heart
And that cacoon was  made of promises and love
And then she placed it back in his chest
And he smiled
A real smile
Because she had fixed his heart....

She was scared of love
She was scared of not being good enough
Of being left in the end

Then she met him
And she had never met someone so mesmerize by her
Never met someone that treated her like she was the only girl in the world
Never met someone that was completely and utter obsessed with her
Not just her
But her imperfections
Her bad days
Her messy hair
Her mood swings
And she was so shocked
Because she had never met anyone quite like him
And little did she know that all their conversations
All the times she was helping him
All the times she was Comforting him
She was helping and comforting herself
They were helping each other heal
They were each others medicine
They needed each other
And little did she know she was falling for him
But she was scared
That he would treat her special then run away
So she took a leap
A very big leap
And she gave him her heart
And she held her breath
Because everyone had crushed it
But he took it and he cupped it
And he rocked it gently
Whispering sweet words and silent promises
And he placed it back in her chest
And she smiled
A real smile
Because he had fixed her heart
