Welcome to Potter! This is a Drarry au book so it will not take place at Hogwarts or anywhere magical. I'm very excited to start this journey with you and I hope you are ready for some crappy writing. Please enjoy and DM me with any suggestions seeing as I run out of ideas very quickly. Before I start rambling on about how great and amazing Harry Potter is, here's the first chapter!
The small room didn't feel like home anymore. All my sports posters were taken down and shoved into a cardboard box. The desk where I had learned how to draw was taken apart and thrown away. I would be leaving soon for my foster home. I'm an orphan now, that's what I am. I'm not the son of the most famous baseball player and model anymore, I'm all alone.
"Harry are you ready?" A lady from the foster home leaned against the doorframe with a sad smile. Her name was Mary, I think, I don't remember. I was too busy sulking around the empty house to pay attention. I nodded and grabbed my small suitcase. "This foster home is one of the best. You will be going to the Hogsmeade high school which is a 5-minute walk from the house and you will a room with another boy your age." She explained when we got into her black van. My new house was an hour away from my home in the countryside. The car ride was silent except for the soft rock playing from the speakers.
A little over an hour we arrived at a big white house with a gate around its even bigger yard. On top of the gate was written in metal, Hogsmeade Orphanage. I gulped, I wasn't going to survive a week in there. The lady got out with me and brought my bag to the door. She knocked on the door before looking at me. "It's a little scary at first but you'll get used to it." She gave me a sad smile before turning away and walked back to her car before driving away. The door creaked open and a tall, slim woman stood in the doorway. Her arms were crossed and her hair was curled perfectly. "You must Harry Potter." She almost spat at me. I nodded. "Great. My names Petunia, you will call me ma'am. Come with me and I'll show you your new room. You will be sharing with Ronald Weasley." I picked my bag up and followed her into the house and up a big staircase. Doors lined the hallway, we stopped at the very last one. Petunia opened the door to show me a small room with a redhead boy sitting on one of the beds. "Ronald, your roommate has finally arrived." She motioned to me. Petunia slammed the door when Ronald got up. "My name's Ron, Ron Weasley." He stuck out his pale skin towards me. "Harry. Harry Potter." I firmly shook it with a smile. His eyes gazed me stopping at my bag. "Need help unpacking?" He grabbed my bag when I nodded and put it on the empty bed. He folded all my clothes and put them into the other half of the dresser, made my bed with my bedding, and put up some of my posters. "Your stuff gives the room life!" Ron looked at the newly decorated room with a wide smile.
Ron went through everything for the new high school I'd be going to until dinner. "Boys, dinner!" We rushed downstairs, according to Ron this is the only thing he's eaten all day. On the long table was 10 plates full with meat that looked plastic. Ron must've noticed my disgusted look because he nudged me with his elbow. "Don't worry. The guys and I steal some money and go down the street when she's asleep to get some real food." We all sat down and 5 of us pretended to eat but we really dropped it under the table when Petunia wasn't looking.
After the long dinner, it was 7:15 and Petunia was locked up in her bedroom for the night. Ron made sure the coast was clear before him and I ran to get the other 3 boys. Neville, Seamus, and Alexander were ready in their room with money stuffed in their pockets. "Guys, this is Harry Potter." I already learned their names because Ron hadn't stopped talking about how fun it would be tonight. They chorused hey's and hi's before we left for the night.
