It was friday night, or famously known to the boys: movie night.
The seven friends were gathered in the living room of Seokjin and Namjoon's shared apartment—it was their turn to host this week—and there were pizza boxes and soda cans littering the area. Jimin and Jungkook were on the loveseat to the left of the tv, Yoongi in the big leather recliner to the right. Hoseok was sprawled out on the floor in a pile of pillows in front of the couch where Taehyung sat, legs tucked under him and elbow propped up on the right armrest, Namjoon in the middle of the couch as he pointed the remote at the tv, scrolling through the selection of movies that were available. Seokjin entered from the kitchen, balancing multiple bowls of popcorn in his hands before passing them out to the others and sitting down next to Namjoon. "Did you guys pick something yet?"
"No, not yet," Namjoon sighed, pressing his lips together. "There's a little disagreement."
(And this happens every once and a while, where they can't decide on a movie, so they have to settle it in the most civilized way they can think of: rock, paper, scissors. Yoongi hates this solution because he only ever loses)
"I wanna watch a romance," Jimin whines, lips pouty as he looks over at the oldest hyung. Jungkook, sitting next to him, makes a face of disgust. "Gross. I say a scary movie."
"No," Seokjin and Hoseok say in unison, their voices laced with desperation and fear. It makes Yoongi chuckle. "Yeah, you gotta think of the scary cats," He says, earning a few dirty looks.
"Well what do you want to watch?" Namjoon asked him.
In response, Yoongi shrugged. "Honestly, I don't care. I'm planning on falling asleep anyway."
There was a beat of silence and Taehyung took his shot. "I vote for comedy," He said, raising a hand up above his head, and he expected for at least Hoseok to take his side but no one said anything, the only thing close to a response was the sigh that came from Seokjin. "Okay, you know what?" He oldest said, "Let's just put a bunch of movie genres in a hat and do a random draw. It's already pretty late."
And the lucky genre chosen was romance (much to Jungkook's dismay) and they let Jimin pick the movie since that's what he wanted, eventually settling on The Notebook. The inaccurate korean subtitles weren't really that helpful but Taehyung's visual interpretation is on point so he really didn't mind. In fact, fifteen minutes in he's more focused on staying awake. It was already way past midnight and he had a long day so he was tired. Looking over, his gaze landed on Yoongi and, like the older had said himself, he was fast asleep. His eyelids felt heavier just from looking at him.
Fuck it, he thought and laid his head down on the armrest of the couch, curling up into a little ball. He drifted off to sleep to the sound of Jungkook complaining about how boring the movie was.

Taehyung suddenly jerked awake, sitting upright.
God, why do I always have the weirdest dreams?
He stretched his limps, groaning at the stiff sensation in his neck and reached up to massage his nape, trying to relieve some of the tension. He realized there was a blanket covering him and he immediately knew it was Seokjin's doing, looking over at the male. In return, the oldest turned his head to look at him as well, giving him a soft smile. "You were shivering in your sleep," He whispered, probably to not wake up the sleeping Namjoon who was laying against his shoulder, lips parted slightly.
Taehyung, grateful for such a loving hyung, returned a similar smile and mouthed a "thank you" to him before looking back at the TV screen. From what he could see the movie was probably about halfway done, meaning he was only really asleep for about an hour, and he would've let out a groan, but didn't. Instead, his line of interest wandered around the living room, looking at the others.
