"I'm so nervous. I mean I know him and I have been trying but now that I actually am I'm so scared how he will react." I vent to Kory while I take the batch of cookies out of the oven.
"He is gonna be so happy. You are over thinking this Colleen. I promise you he will be thrilled" he says trying to calm me down.
"I sure hope you're right. I need to get this reveal ready and fast cause he will be home from the gym very soon. Thanks for all the help, Kory."
"Its no problem Colleen" he replies then heads upstairs. I decorate 3 of the cookies to look like dinosaurs. Two big ones and one small one. I put them into a container along with the pregnancy test. the front door then opens.
"Finished just in time," I say to myself. I go over a greet Erik. He goes up to get a shower and get cleaned up and so do I before we go on our little picnic at the park. I'm so nervous but so excited at the same time.
We arrive at the park and I start to shake. Erik holds me close to him as we walk to the bench.
"You ok, lovey?" he asks me.
"Yeah, just a bit cold." I nod my head and lie. He takes off his jacket and puts it on me.
"Better?" he asks.
"Better." I nod and confirm. I pull out the bag and place it on my lap.
"So this meal has a bit of explaining to do. So, I know how in Hawaii we would always sing Jurassic Park and that was like out thing. well, I thought I would incorporate it into this." I pull out the container they are in and open it and take them out one by one.
"We have 2 big dinosaurs and 1 small one.... one is the mommy (I point to one of the big ones)..... one is the daddy (I point to the second big one).... and one.... is the baby.... ( I point to the small one)," I say and his jaw drops. I start to tear up and he pulls me into the biggest hug ever.
"We are gonna be parents love!" he starts to get emotional.
"awww baby don't cry" I rub his back.
"I'm so happy. I've always wanted to be a father and I'm so glad that I'm going to be one with my favorite girl in the whole world, the one I love the most, you." he continues to cry. I cry even harder.
"I was so scared you would be mad at me" I admit. Erik stares deep into my eyes and speaks.
"How could I ever be mad at you for something we have been trying for?" I shrug.
"I love you so much, Erik. Thank you for everything."
"I love you more, Colleen and its no problem at, thank you."
"Never stop," I say and then we kiss
