Rescue 5: Whippet is cursed..

It was the start of summer and Whippet was hoping that he would have a much better season than the last one. He walked into the tower and greeted Chappo.
Whippet: Hey Chappo! How are ya buddy?
Chappo: Hey Whip. I'm good, I'm excited for the new season.
Whippet: yeah well frankly I'm hoping my season will be better than last season, because bloody hell that was a disaster.
Chappo: I'm sure this season will be a hell of a lot better Whip, it sure as hell can't get worse.
Whippet: well I,m heading down to backpackers With Mouse, wish me luck.
Chappo: (laughs) Good luck!

As the day progressed things seemed to be going pretty well for Whippet...until about 3pm. He was still down at backpackers with Mouse and then they both heard yelling nearby. So Whippet got up and walked over to where the yelling was coming from.
It turned out to be a group of men who managed to get into a brawl over a soccer match.
Whippet radioed Chappo in the tower.
Whippet on radio: backpackers to central, Chappo we're gonna.   need the police down here mate this fight is getting out of hand.
Chappo on radio: yeah copy that whip, I'm calling now.
Whippet on radio: copy that.
He knew he needed to try to defuse the situation so he walked over to the group of men in the brawl.
Whippet: hey mates, I know you are a little heated right now but you need to calm down otherwise you will end up in trouble and I know you don't want that.
Whippet wished he never opened his mouth, because next thing he knew he had this group of 6 men on him attacking him. He tried to defend himself but he was severely outnumbered .
Mouse didn't know what to do he wanted to help whippet but he knew that he would end up getting hurt if he did... But he took one look at poor whippet and he couldn't just stand there and do nothing, he felt a protectiveness that they all felt towards each other and he jumped in and did what he could to help him.
A few minutes later Chappo came running down with the cops who immediately took control and arrested the group.
Whippet was on the ground still shaking and in shock.
Chappo: whip! Are you ok?!
Whippet: I don't know, what... What just happened, are... Are they gone?
Chappo: yeah buddy they are gone. Let's get you up to the tower and check you out hey?
Whippet: yeah... Yeah ok... My whole face hurts in fact everything hurts.
Chappo and mouse helped whippet up and they got him up to the tower and sat him on the medical bed.
Chappo grabbed a couple ice packs and the first aid stuff to patch and clean him up.
Whippet: Chris? Why is everything going so wrong for me lately? Last season was awful and I just want to have a good season but it looks like that won't be happening. Fuck it feels like my life is falling apart here...
Chappo knew it was serious if whippet was using his actual name.
Chappo: Ryan... Your life isn't falling apart I promise. I know things aren't going right at the moment, but things will look up I promise. How about I come over tonight and we hang out? It's been a while since the last time we did that and you clearly need it right now.
Whippet: that would be really good actually Chris... Thank you. I'm sorry I'm so pathetic right now though.
Chappo: Ryan! You listen to me and you listen good! YOU ARE NOT PATHETIC you are a strong, kind hearted human, who's having a rough time right now, but I know you will get through it. Please don't ever talk about yourself like that, even if it's just one self depreciating comment it's enough to well... Break my heart, because I know how incredible and amazing you are as a person.
Whippet was shocked, Chappo didn't open up like that very often and he couldn't believe he thought so highly of him.
Whippet: Chris... Thank you I... I promise I will try not to think or talk like that it's hard but I promise to try.
After their talk they got back to work, thankfully whippet wasn't hurt to the point of needing the hospital but Hoppo restricted him to the tower for the rest of the day.
That's night Chappo went over to whippets and they watched Netflix and talked.
Whippet really hoped the rest of the season would go better...

AUTHORS NOTE: hey everyone I just want to apologise for how long it took for me to update and put this chapter up I know it was supposed to go up the day after my last note but life kinda got crazy.  I promise to update more regularly though. Also I think you might all pick up on this but I'm thinking about possibly making this a slash story with Chappo and Whippet. I'm not sure yet but it's looking likely. If it does there will be no major smut just mainly fluffiness.
