Laurence's nose is tickled by the smell of sanitation products. He feels his surroundings. It feels like a bed but not his bed. Or any bed he's felt before. Slowly, he drifts into consciousness. Asleep on the window seat is Yukio. Laurence's eyes trail from Yukio's face down to his hand. The hand that his face is resting on. The same hand that brushed his just a few hou-
Laurence suddenly realized he had no idea how long he'd been out. It could be one day, could be four. He felt around for his phone but it wasn't there. Of course.Gently, he whispered; "Yukio? Yukio, What day is it?
Yukio rubbed his eyes and checked his phone.
"It's still today. 11: 36 pm" he let out a yawn and made his way over to Laurence."I was so scared Laurence. I was still in the apartment picking out a movie when I heard a loud thud and I asked you if you were okay but I got no answer," Yukio's voice began to break "so I went to see if you were alright and you were just there on the floor"
Laurence was silent. It stayed like that for a while. He began to ponder if telling Yukio now would be the best idea until he slowly realised that he was no longer in his original clothes, but a hospital nightgown. Quickly, he look for something else to focus on.
"Oh, you painted your nails." Laurence observed
Yukio's face flashed with annoyance, most likely to Laurence's avoidance of his topic. "Yeah. I painted them black last night but they're already chipping."
"Can I see?"
"Sure." Yukio extended his arm to Laurence. He took hold of Yukio's hand and brought it closer to his face for a better look.
"Is this..gel nail polish?" Laurence took his thumb and slid it across Yukio's fingers.
"Yeah. It looks kinda bad, doesn't it?"
"Not at all." Laurence sat there continuing to observe Yukio's hand. Rubbing the skin this way, and that in little tiny circles, each time increasing Yukio's level of uncomfort.
"Hey Yukio, I'm sorry I didn't get to show you my song. But level with me. The pasta, how bad was it?"
"It tasted like you sweat in it."
"I did." A smile crept across Laurence's face.
"EW! SO YOU MADE ME EAT DIRTY SWEAT PASTA?!"
Laurence burst out laughing "Of course not! You're an idiot."
"We can't be friends anymore."
"Oh noo. I'm so hurt." Laurence retorted.
"Man. That sucks considering Corkscrew likes you more than me." Laurence looked down sorrowfully.
Yukio chuckled, "No she doesn't. You just don't want to walk home alone."
"True!" The two's laughter came to a close and well enough, the atmosphere did not return to it's awkward silence. It was like a warm hug of banter and flirtation.
"I guess we should attempt to sleep now." Laurence spoke.
"I'm probably not going to be able to sleep but I agree." Yukio leaned over and kissed the top of Laurence's head.
"Ew. Herpes." Laurence wiped the spot where Yukio had kissed his forehead knowing that it would be imprinted in his brain for a while.
"I love you." Yukio said.
"Yeah.. whatever. I love you too."

A/N: I'm tired. I'm feeling creatively blocked. I think I have stuff for the next thing though. Don't know when it's going to come because school is making me wanna cry.
