As he pondered over, what could only be thought of as, his grandest act for total world control, he had to stop and think; what would be the best approach? What could he possibly do to gain control and effectively keep a grip on it?
To Aaron, every little thing had to be thought of with extreme detail. Just one flaw could ruin everything. So he thought... and thought... and thought... until it had finally clicked;
In his era, of 2042, one thing he noticed about the people around him as they couldn't live without their devices. Daily, he saw people, both young and old, glued to their screens, whether it was a phone, laptop, or even a game toy. These people all have the same objective though; to gain infinite knowledge. And that's what is granted to them via the internet.
That's where his idea comes in...; what if that knowledge wasn't restricted only to a screen. What if you could just open your eyes, and the knowledge is there before you, through your eyes- through your mind...
Aaron thought it was a perfect plan. But he needed to get a team together. So he searched, scouting for programmers, scientists, surgeons, anyone crazy enough to help him with something this big. And when he figured he had enough people, he sent them straight to work, turning his vision into reality.
Agonizing weeks turned into agonizing months, everyone working continuously to finish the project and present the finished project to Aaron. It was a small computer chip, not any larger than a dime, that's to be placed into the brain of the user. It was a simple form augmentation. But what it did was incredible. It, indeed, granted the user that screenless access to infinite knowledge just by wiring it to the visual cortex. It projects this access as an interactive interface, one like that of a simple hologram.
He knew it worked. His proof was the development team, who he had implanted the chip into, told him of its ability. But just to be sure he went ahead and put it in himself as well.
He, then, used this information in, possibly, the hardest phase of this entire operation; trying to sell it to the public. Where should he target? How should he announce its existence? He finally came up with the perfect place. He'll target New York. The state with the country's largest population of drones, screens, gadgets, how could anyone there resist?
As everything finished and came together, the chip went through a series of upgrades and updates, making it use less of the brain's power and energy, making it safer than before. But the real validation came from the first group of customers reluctant enough to go through with it.
And after that, the entire thing was set. By the third month, Aaron was already a millionaire. But that was just a bonus to his real goal. But with the device spreading like a wildfire, it wouldn't be long until he'd advance with his vision. He knew he couldn't be stopped now.
