so suddenly

I sailed a sea of lonely hearts
Lonely moments, lonely dreams.
I've seen so many broken parts
Broken places, broken seams.

People travel for better lands
Looking far and desperately.
They find themselves with empty hands
And empty hearts so suddenly.

The waves, they crash so violently
Breaking ships, breaking shore.
Yet people search so valiantly
Hoping for hope, hoping for more.

But when I searched a lonely field
I found you there so subtly.
Broken hearts were slowly healed
Yet love came so suddenly.

Eyes met eyes, my soul met yours
We found eachother, found our dreams.
Waves may crash those lonely shores
They'll envy us, so it seems.

I found my heart and gave it to you
And loved you so abundantly.
You returned the love with love so true
Love returned so suddenly.
