Brooklyn, New York
1991"I know, but it's coming."
"When is it?"
"It's not going to be much longer." Harry's mom tells him, as they're waiting for their train. "Spit your gum out. Come on. Thank you." She says as Harry spits his gum into her hand.
"Oh, here comes the train!" she says as two teenage men start approaching them. "Get behind me. Harry, stay behind me." "Just take it. Take it." Harry's mom says as the teenagers get closer.
"Give me your purse. Give me your purse." One of the men say. "Give me the ring!" he shouts as he noticed the ring on her finger.
"Don't talk."
"It's going to be okay." She assures her son noticing his bottom lip quivering and whimpers escaping his mouth as he tries to stay close. "Harry don't look at them."
CONDUCTOR: (ON PA) This is the Coney Island-bound F train. Next stop Avenue I.
Harry's mom stands there frightened as the two teenagers get on the train still holding little Harry behind her. The doors to the train open back up and Marisa sees the boy lifting up a hand gun "No!" she screams. It's too late. Marisa drops to the ground with the impact wound to her chest.
(Yes, I know Harry's mum's name is Anne. Fiction. This is just fiction)
"Mom! Mom!" Harry starts to scream and cry "Mom! Mom! Mom!" he starts wailing, crying even harder "Mom! Mom!" "Mom!"
It's not long before the police turn up and Marisa's body is placed into a body bag. Her husband is there to identify he body and pick up his son, when he sees their wedding ring he picks it up off the ground as Harry rushes over with tears in his eyes "Daddy!" he picks him up as he cries into his shoulder and begins to walk out of the subway. Away from the terrible incident that just occurred.
