Carlos and I walked silently hand in hand back to the shed Evie and I were staying at.
Two figures ran up to us. They seemed to be out of breath.
As they got closer, I realized the two figures were Evie and Jay.
"Guys!" Evie panted.
"Uma has Ben!" Jay finished. Carlos and I exchanged worried glances.
"We found Mal and told her what happened. She said to bring you guys back to the lair." Evie was talking fast. She must've been scared.
I gasped.
"You guys found Mal? Is she okay?"
Evie sighed.
"We can discuss that later. We need to go. now!"

"I still can't believe you guys brought him to the Isle..." Mal was grumbling in the crew's old hangout place. She looked different. With her long, purple hair and her rugged purple leather outfit. It suited her much more than her blond hair and prissy dresses, but she still looked scary.
My eyes focused on the graffiti she had been painting on the blanched walls.
"He refused to stay in Aurodon while you were here on the Isle." Carlos mumbled. "If it was Luna, neither would I." He turned to face me, giving me a bashful grin. I blushed. Mal rolled her eyes. He turned back to face her, his expression now serious. "Besides, you scared him off in the first place. What did you say?"
Mal's face flushed in anger. "That's none of you're buisness, Carlos." She stated haughtily. Carlos raised his hands in mock surrender. Mal sighed.
"plus, Yeah, well, that's you guys." She muttered. "Now we need to find a way to get Uma to return him as a whole. I'll talk to her."
Evie jumped to her feet.
"Not without us you won't!" Her voice was raised, but you could tell she was trying her best not to back down.
Jay nodded in agreement.
"Guys, Harry said to come alone." Mal sighed in frustration. She looked a decade older standing under the bio-luminescent light green light.
"But-"
"She said to come alone." Carlos cut off Evie swiftly, earning a hard glare. "If there's one thing I know, we're not going anywhere...."
