Alright, let's get this over with. You read the title, the description, all of it. You know exactly what's going on. My name's Jonathan West, fourteen years old, born in Fairfield, California. Son to Julianne Sorelle and Noah West. Or, as I like to call the latter, Satan. I mean, it's only fair since he made my life Hell without even being around to see it. I'll bare you the details, for now at least. But how about I tell you what happened first? Well, this is a document so you can't really respond, but it was rhetorical anyways.

FAIRFIELD, CALIFORNIA- May 12th, 2017- 4:00 PM

I was just sitting in my room, watching the best comedy in the history of anything, F.R.I.E.N.D.S, when I heard a loud bang at the door followed by shouting. Keep in mind, my room was on the second story so I couldn't just look outside to see what just happened. My room was right next to my mother's, and I heard a faint "Sh!t. They've finally found us." This worried me beyond belief,

My mother, while vague, always told me in case of a scenario just like this, to remain hidden. Keep in mind, I don't completely trust my mother. She was always too secretive, never explaining situations all the way through. She was always mysterious. I hate f*cking mysteries.

Despite my anger and confusion, I heeded her warning and got under my bed. I'll never forget what I saw next. Under my bed, I saw four figures all in extremely protective FBI uniforms, shields and sniper rifles readied. Two stormed my mother's room and the other two stood guard.

"Listen here, Ms Sorelle. This doesn't have to be difficult, just let us take you and your son and give us the information we want you both can go free. We just want Noah and the weapon."

Noah. Noah West?! If there was one thing my mother was somewhat straightforward about, it was this:

"The name Noah West is to never come out of your mouth, you here me little boy? If you have any value for your life that name will never come out of your God damned lips."

If we're being truthful, I didn't. I mean, my life didn't really have any value. No friends, except for one fake one I kept around just to feel less lonely, and no definite future. I always tried to remain optimistic and make myself believe that things would get better eventually. I'd been saying that for eight years, but oh f*cking well.

"Go to hell! Noah is innocent so leave us alone!' I heard my mother say. Damn, I really wish she hadn't said that.

After that, I heard one of  the two female FBI officers curse under her breath, and then I heard some gunshot.

No. Please tell me I just didn't hear gunshots. That couldn't be the case, right? It's still law you cannot shoot someone who isn't showing any threatening intent, and even if that weren't the case, they still needed us for information, right? At least that's what I prayed to be the truth until I heard that same female FBI officer say this,

"She was just a nuisance. Wouldn't have told us anything anyway. Let's try with the boy."

This woman just shot my mother in cold blood. And felt no remorse whatsoever.

I prayed my mother was resting peacefully, and stayed in my hiding position. I wouldn't be as idiotic as my mother and forcefully reject them, but I wouldn't let them find me easily. I thought I was being smart, and they wouldn't find me and I could just stay on the run till I could afford plastic surgery and get a new identity.

"The dumbass is under the bed." One of the two male FBI officers said as he dropped his gun and grabbed me by the shirt and lifted me from under my bed to the ceiling, then dropped me on the floor and put a gun to my throat.

"Are you gonna give us any problems?" He said aggressively.

"No sir" I lied. It wouldn't be fun to read if I just complied with everything they said right? Nah. I was a complete jackass. Just wouldn't let them know my intentions yet. Speaking of which, I need to think of a new plan.

A sack was placed over my head and the next few hours kinda blurred past if we're being completely honest. Next thing I know, the sack's off and I'm being held in a stainless steel room with a man that kinda looked like an Asian Genuwine standing in front of me.

"Hello, Jonathan. I'll save you the long conversation, you probably don't like me already, teen hormones and all." He laughed. I didn't.

"Now, what can you tell me about your father, Noah?" He asked me straightforwardly.

I ignored his question. "My mother, Julianne Sorelle, your officers killed her. Didn't they?"

"I'm sure she was a wonderful woman. Now, answer the question. What information do you have about Noah West?" What do ya know? Another asshole that wouldn't give me a straight answer. I got the memo though.

"Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, buddy. But if you haven't realized, Noah and my mother have different last names. They aren't married. I can't speak for her, obviously, but I've never met him. You jackasses killed your only way of getting the knowledge you needed. I don't know what Noah did. I don't really care. That knowledge won't bring my Mom back. So how about you make my life easier and let me go? I'm sure Noah has some kind of distant relative you can kidnap and get info on him. Just leave me to live my already hellish life that you've only f*cked up more."

"Dear boy, you know we can't do that." Asian Genuwine said with nonchalant eyes as he snapped and a man with a black handgun walked over, and pointed the pistol at my head.

I closed my eyes and accepted my fate.

Hahahaha, just f*cking with you.

I jumped up from my chair and even though my hands were bounded to the desk in front of me, I was able to maneuver myself out of the way of the bullet.

Wait a minute. Bullets travel at a speed of 1,700 miles per hour and I just easily avoided one pointed directly at my head.

Dafuq????

The gunman had a look of astonishment on his face. I mean, I don't blame him. I just flawlessly dodged a bullet at point-blank range.

I was just confused as he was to be completely honest. Scientifically speaking, what I just did was impossible. And I promise you, I would know. I'm the only freshman in my school taking AP Physics.

Okay, odd time to flex. Sorry.

Anyways, with a red flash from my eyes (wtf) I felt a gigantic adrenaline rush and broke the chains bounding me to the table and punched the gunman dead in the jaw. I then turned to the man who pissed me off earlier and he backed away in fear. He was defenseless.

'Never hit someone who can't defend themselves'

Screw that. This scum deserved it. I grabbed his arm and snapped it like a twig.

Damn. That felt better than it probably should have.

I then punched a whole in the wall and ripped it open from the inside. It led me to an open forest.

I had to get outta there fast, so I ran away from the FBI building and into the woods.

By the way, I was running at sixty miles per hour.

Again I say: Dafuq????

That's faster than Usain Bolt. And that guy got a character dedicated to him on Temple Run.

My life just took a rather odd turn...

Author's Note: And that was the prologue to Avertable Destruction! This'll be a long term project for me and if I have the time (and motivation) I'll try and get chapter one out tomorrow (October 13th, 2018). I really wanted to do this for a while but my first attempt at writing this I lost 500 words worth of work and I couldn't get the motivation to start writing until tonight *sweatdrop* but now that I have, I'm happy to say that this was an amazing experience. I only got about 1.3k words in on the prologue but most of my chapters will range between 3000 and 5000 words. With all that said, thanks for reading! Don't forget to follow me for more chapters.
