"Daddy where are we going?" I asked as the car rushed on through the countryside.
"To a party hosted by mummy and daddy's friends, sweetie." My dad told me before turning his attention back out to the green blurs that wizzed past.
My mum who sat next to me stroked my hair and fixed the bangs that fell around my cheeks.
"But why do I have to come?" My older sister huffed, Megan had taken better interest in the view as I had in the beginning.
"Because Timothy and Wanda invited ALL of us, that includes you Megan Hamilton." My father replied.
"Will I be aloud to read my book?" I asked trying to pull my dad's attention away from Megan.
My dad looked at me and I held up my copy of The Hobbit for him to see. He looked torn between affection and annoyed
"David, Amelia is only six and I really don't she here part taking in the dancing and drinking, do you?" My mum added and my dad smirked.
"Maybe later, we'll ask Timothy and Wanda it's there party after all."
I smiled and nodded. I returned The Hobbit back to my lap and I looked out the window for the rest of the journey.
Our car pulled up at a big house, people stood out in the drive area others made their way in, my dad got out first the Megan then me them my mum.
My mum and dad took each other's hand, I took my dad's and my mum rested her's on Megan's shoulder.
"David!" A man called as he rushed over. "It's great to see you tonight and the family." He smiled and looked over us.
"It's good to see you Timothy." My dad said.
"Maria it's so good to see you again, Wanda is inside telling everyone to go to your hairdressers." Timothy said. "Best into town she says."
"Haha is she? Better go help her!" My mum said with a smile and head into the house.
"And the little princesses, well maybe not little. Seeing how much you both have grown." Timothy said with a smile at Megan and I.
Megan smiled a little but I death gripped my dad's leg and peeked out.
"Amelia, why don't you ask Timothy your question?" My dad suggested I just looked up at him then back to Timothy. I slowly pulled The Hobbit out for him to view "Can I read it please." My voice just above a whisper.
"How about this, if you come meet Wanda and see everyone dancing and dance with me and Wanda and maybe your daddy if he wants you can sit on the top step and watch everyone dance like the Queen of Erebor?
That sound fair?" I smiled and nodded my head enthusiastically and let go of my dad's leg and stepped away from him and toward Timothy.
Timothy took my hand and lead me in. Once in people turned and smiled and cooed at me, and I blushed.
"There are to many trees in this forrest my lady would you mind if I carried you?" Timothy asked.
I smiled and nodded my head in a no and Timothy lifted me gently under my arms and tucked his arm under me and we swept through the crowd until my mum and an other woman came into sight.
"Timothy, I see you have my little Amelia. Are you trying to steal her from me and David?" My mum asked with a smile.
"Not at all, my lady and I have a few things to do before she ascends to the the sky!" Timothy said and pointed at the grand stair case. "She must return to the Thorin and Bilbo and the rest of the company on their quest, but not before we dance."
