Leata Rune Parks

The woods where always the most beautiful in fall, faries rings plentiful and leafs falling in the cool evening breeze.
The falling leafs of a thousand colors falling in the cool air.
Today was Halloween.
My favorite holiday.
I take a deep breath taking in the night air and the feeling of the moon on my exposed skin. I sing softly.
"This is Halloween! This is Halloween!"
I giggle dancing in my fairy costume, my starwberry blonde hair curled in wild waves flowers adorning my hair, my best friend having done my makeup green to match the dress and resemble a fairy bright glitter on my skin, my green dress fluttering in the chilly wind.

I'd probably walked for too long in these spooky woods.
The moon high above me now, making the trees seem to reach for her beautiful silvery face.
I don't know what time it is now as I move silently through the trees; gracefully over rocks and fallen: moss covered trees. Suddenly I hear a flute playing far off in the distance. I move toward the sound as if being carried by the notes themselves. Before I know it I've gone in too deep. The trees closing together.
The fallen leafs still soft muffling my steps on the dying grass.
Suddenly I'm aware of eyes watching me from the dark cover of shadows.
I continue to move as a lute soon joins the flute.
My legs carry me quicker through the trees almost making me believe I'm flying.
Suddenly before I can stop myself I'm pushing through the treeline to a clearing; a large bonfire roars into the sky so large it almost tops the trees.
I wonder how I could have missed the light while in the darkness of these old woods.
At first I see no one but as I dance around the fire I start to see them one at a time; beautiful and horrifying creatures dancing around the fire just as me.
The lute plays more and suddenly so is the flute almost as if in a contest for the best, but they are so in harmony that I can't believe they could even want to fight, just like me, not fighting the tune as it carries me along almost as gracefully as the fairy's I dance with.
Wait..fairies?!?! How could I possibly come here, how did I even..but now it's too late and the thoughts fade just as quickly as they came the warmth of the fire.
