Chapter 2

Ezra's POV:
I just got back from a book signing that I have traveled the world for 2 years. I still own my apartment in 3B. After I finished unpacking I came to the Brew to get some coffee.
Then I saw the love of my life. Aria. She was sitting in the corner of the Brew alone, so I decided to walk up to her.
"Aria?"
"Ezra" she said.
"Hey" I said while she stood up to hug me. We broke up because I thought it was best for her to have a free life while she went to college. When she left I regretted saying that to her so much. I couldn't handle it, that's when I started writing a book because it calmed me down. I didn't think it would be that good but I still met with a publisher anyway. She loved it, so it became one of the best selling books all over the world. Every single day I was gone I thought about Aria. I didn't think she would be back but she was.
"So, how are you" I ask
"Good, you?"
"Good, I just got back from a book signing"
"Oh yeah, I meant to read your book but I never got the chance" That's when I saw that she had another coffee with her that said Andrew on it.
"So is Andrew your boyfriend?" I say pointing towards the cup of coffee.
"Um yeah, I actually should probably get going" she said while getting up and grabbing her things. When she started walking away I grabbed her arm and she winced in pain.
I let go and said "I'm so sorry, are you okay?"
It's weird for her to be in pain for that since I barely grabbed her arm. I wonder what happened to it. Then she got a text and started to tear up.
"Who was that?" I ask
"Nobody" she said while wiping away her tears, "but I really have to go." With that she left and so many questions went through my head like, who was that? Is A back? What did it say to make her start crying?
Aria's POV:
I was talking to Ezra when I realized I had to get the coffee to Andrew. When I was walking away Ezra grabbed my arm to stop me which hurt because I have a bruise from Andrew. Ezra asked me if I was okay and I didn't even answer because I got a text. It was Andrew. He said that I had to be home right away and that I was going to get a punishment for being late. I was scared, and almost cried but then I realized Ezra was still standing in front of me, I wiped my tears and left since it would be a lot worse if I was any later. I started walking faster to the house as I heard Ezra calling my name. As soon as I got to the door I started to tear up. I unlocked the door and didn't see anyone. I don't think he is here, so I go upstairs to get some rest, as I get to the top I see a drunk Andrew walking out of our room.
"WHAAAT TOOOKK YYOUU SOO LONG" Andrew yelled  angrily while slurring his words.
"I ran into an old friend that's all" I said frightened of him.
"Was it that ex boyfriend Ezra that you always talk about" I didn't answer.
He slapped me.
I tried to get away but he grabbed ahold of me then chucked me down the stairs. Everything after that was a blur but I know I heard him leave. At that moment everything went black.
