Elsa had no idea why she'd gone to the dungeon. He was down there. Her heart started beating faster and faster as she walked the cold stone pathway. Nearly all of the cells were empty. All but one. Elsa abruptly stopped at the end of the corridor. The only sound was the dripping water hitting the stone floor.
There he was. Sitting there with his head in his hands. All Elsa could see was that auburn hair. A sight she was well familiar with.
This was the man, the traitor.
Elsa spent quite a lot of time there. Surprisingly Hans was easy to talk to. Elsa understood why he did what he did. To feel empowered, to be noticed. He told her how growing up was hard, being the youngest of thirteen was hard. He said that his brothers locked him in the closet, excluded him. His father talked down to him constantly. Here he was 23 and still without a wife or family. All of his brothers married and had at least two kids. Elsa understood for the most part. She was forced to lock herself away, it was a matter of 'protecting' herself. She remembered sitting in her room watching out the window as her father carried Anna though the town with tear filled eyes. She and Hans were both underestimated, misunderstood minorities.
What happened shortly after that couldn't be explain. Elsa left the cell, her heart beating faster than before. How could she have let this happen? It started with harmless kiss, but it was too late when he started sliding her dress up her leg. Things dangerously progressed from there. It was bad enough what she did, but with him. The traitor.
And that wasn't the last time either. She continued visiting Hans. Some days in the cell weren't just days spent for talking. They continued loving each other. Physically, and emotionally.
Elsa wasn't quite sure what to do. All she knew, was that she loved him, and she wanted to be with him.
With the man who betrayed her sister, and tried to kill her.
The traitor.
