The Dream... DUN DUN DUUNNN

I don’t even know how we had managed to locate it. ‘It’ is the location of Kadence, Jace, Johnny, Chris, Seth and Drew’s dorm room, but I'm glad we did. Right now me and two of my other friends are standing outside their dorm room.

“Sonny?” One friend asks.

“Yea Kade?”

“What are we doing here?” she asks nervously, looking around.

“It was your idea!” my other friend, Beth, says and smacks Kade upside the head. Kade squeaks and backs away, hands in the air.

“Owch! Just be happy I invited you two to come! Jeesh…” she mumbles and rubs the back of her head.

I snicker and face the door. What now? Do I knock? Of course you knock, you idiot! You don’t know these people! Yea, well, five hours ago I didn’t even know they existed.

Before I can do anything, Beth rolls her eyes and knocks firmly on the door three times. This is what I hear through the door;

“Get the door Kadence!” Seth yells.

“You get it!” Kadence retorts then I hear a muffled thump and a moan. “Jaaaaaaaceeeeeeeee! Seth hit m-“

“Shut up!” Seth hisses, then multiple footsteps come towards the door.

The door pops open for me to see Kadence, Jace, Seth and drew. “Uhm… who are you?” Seth asks rather rudely.

“I'm Kaden-“ smack! “I'm Kade, this is Chr-“ smack! “I'm Kade, this is Beth, and that’s S-S-Uh Michayla,” Kade says, rubbing her head and pouting at Beth. See, Kade’s nickname is Kadence, Beth's is Chris, and mine is Sonny.

Kadence stares at them confusedly, Seth looks bored, drew is bouncing excitedly mumbling something about ‘company’ and Jace is just regarding us wearily. Kade is smiling enthusiastically; Beth is raising an eyebrow looking at Seth, while I am smiling broadly at everyone in front of me. I am the third tallest of those standing there, the order being Seth, Jace, then me.

“Wait… where’s Chris and-“ Kade starts, only to be smacked—again—by Beth. “What did I do now!? I meant the other Chris!!”

“Oh, I knew that… I just felt like hitting you,” Beth says, sliming. Kade just grumbles and continues.

“And Johnny?”

“Did someone say sexy!?” Chris asks, barging through the small crowd and stopping in front of us. “Who are you?” he looks at all three of us, face matching Kadence’s confused one.

“Kade, Beth and Michayla!” drew answers him, smiling.

Chris nods and backs up a bit, then a small awkward silence falls.

I rub my temple, knowing what will come next.

“Yellow plastic baseball bat!” Beth yells, and Chris cringes.

“History book!” Kade yells right back, ignoring Chris’s second cringe and the confused looks on the other’s faces.

“Cucumber!” I pitch in, laughing as Kadence cringes this time and Chris smiles, patting Kadence on the back.

“Wrestling!”

“COME ON JOHNNY, GET THOSE BALLS! THEY'RE IN HIS PANTS!” Kade screams, and Beth and I burst out laughing.

“It wasn’t that funny!” Kadence whines and stomps his feet.

“Yes, yes it was,” Kade says after she gets her laughter under control.

“So… why’d you guys come here?” Jace asks us.

“No reason, we just know a lot about you guys, figured out where you live-“

“I did that one!” Kade says, raising her hand,

“-and decided to pop by. Well, we ought to get going… ciao!” I say and my little group of three start heading down the hall.

“What was that all about?” Seth asks.

“How did they know about… the incident?” Kadence asks lowly, probably about either BALLS or CUCUMBER.

“The Smile…” Kade calls back mysteriously, I glance back and see Chris smile… The Smile.

And then we round a corner, leaving the group of guys.
