Sure Demi and her, were entertaining something in each other. Although, currently, Demi's inner demons were demanding her attention, much more than Lani could.
Then there was the proverbial attraction to effeminate men, but other than those two things, she could risk it.
Lani chewed her lip, replaying all of Mani's straight-forward actions.

A buzz against her bare thigh, grabs her attention.
Mani😜: It's 3 PM, the next day, and I'm the one texting you? A top? Where?
Lani couldn't stop the laughter if she tried. Damn, Lil mama loved to call her out.
To Mani😜: I was literally about to text you. Did you know, that in your case, I can actually say Hey Bighead and it not be all flirts?
That's right Lani, she says to herself, deflect with humor. Miss Normani had become way too forward for comfort. Those were her lines.
Mani😜: Cute. I thought jokes about your crush was for like, elementary children, Lani.
Lani's eyes widen.

To Mani😜: Is this Lauren texting me or Normani?
Mani😜: Is this Lani texting me or Halsey?
Lani is confusion.
Mani😜: Just kidding, she's an actual top, she didn't have a problem with hitting me up.
Lani is irritated. Halsey?
So, she calls her.
"Excuse me? Are you questioning my abilities?" Lani asks.
Normani's, mellow-toned laughter, flows through the phone.
"It's obvious you can't handle me. I'm just trying to figure it all out. You look so confident, and in charge but, you're actually so, so...soft and delicate," Mani teases.
Kehlani takes a deep breath.
"Normani, stop playing with me, cause I'll actually, real life, fuck you little girl."
"Oh...is that a promise? Or, are you gonna joke away from that too?" Mani boldly asks.
At this point, Lani wants to choke her. Amongst, other things.
