I’m in a sad mood, so I decided to write a sad/fluffy one-shot.

~

Louis knew he shouldn’t be doing this. He shouldn’t be eavesdropping. It was rude. It was wrong. This wasn’t fair to Harry. He was having a private conversation with his sister, but for god’s sake, it’s been over an hour, and he’s crying. His Hazza was crying. All he wanted to do was rush in and hold him and tell him he loved him. So much.

But, what hurt the most about the conversation was that it was about them. It was about Louis and Harry. And management. And the fans. And everything.

Harry and Louis were happy. God, they were so happy. But the hiding was becoming too much. It was becoming too much for both of them. It was starting to cause strain and heartache.

“I just hate not being able to tell everyone I love him.” Harry peeped between sobs.

God, this was heart breaking. Hearing the person you love balling his eyes out is not an enjoyable experience. Not one bit. It’s worse than any heartache a person can experience. Every tear that fell from Harry’s green orbs was a reminder to Louis that he wasn’t doing something right. If someone is really happy, they don’t need tears. They don’t have time for it. It was heartbreaking it really was.

The thing is, it all was true. And, there’s nothing they could do about it. They couldn’t come out. It wasn’t aloud. Literally. Signed and sealed away. ‘Larry Stylinson’ was something that couldn’t even be muttered anymore, not in an interview, not in tweets, nothing. When management found out there was something between the two boys, they had to do something. It was the only way that could keep up sales. Or so they had been told.

Being in love is great. Best feeling in the entire world. But, when you can’t share it, it’s like daggers making sharp cuts all over you. Torture. It’s a slow, painful death.

“I don’t even want to be in this fucking band anymore, Gemma. I don’t care. I don’t care about any of it anymore. I just want to be with Lou. That’s all that matters.” Harry yelled into the phone.

Harry had started dwindling. He was no longer the feisty, snappy young teen he once was. Within the last few months he had become a shell. He was starting to lose interest in everything that wasn’t Louis. On multiple occasions he had threatened to leave the band. Every time Louis would cup his face in his hands and tell him how crazy he was. This was their dreams. Most importantly it was Harry’s dream. This was temporary. It was worth it.

Louis sunk to plush carpeted ground. He didn’t know how much more of this he could take. He had to bust in and save the day. He had to heal all of Harry’s wounds. He had to be his superman. But, god knows he didn’t know what to say. It was the same argument all the time. You can only say ‘Be patient’ or ‘it’ll get better’ so many times before it starts to lose its effect.

Louis scanned the living room for ideas. There, on the comfy white couch laid the two boys’ matching blankets. Memories filled his brain on the night they got them. It was during the X Factor tour. During one of the travel days all the boys got stuck in the airport, it storming like mad. It was in the middle of the night, and neither of them could get a wink of sleep. Louis thought it’d be a swell idea to explore the airport, and Harry always being attached to the slightly older boy’s side followed.

It was great. They felt alone. All of the body guards were sound asleep. They could finally relax and be themselves. (No one had found out they were together yet) Louis quickly grasped Harry’s long fingers. Lou still remembered that wide smile that escaped his lips. He was glowing.

All the stores in the airport were locked up for the night, all for one. There, at the far end of the terminal was a comfort travelers shop. It was closed, and none of the lights were on. But, oddly enough the chain lock had not been brought down. They decided to examine.

The store had everything a busy traveler needed. Headphones, snack food, pillows, magazines, books, sweaters, and blankets. Louis had a grand idea to make a pallet. With of course, the ‘his and her’ pink and blue blanket, cuddling them both together. They had just started dating; cuddling was still something new and exciting to them. It was glorious. They were in their own little world. Nothing or no one could touch them. That was their first time together. It was calm, and thought out, and extremely romantic. It was perfect.

“I’ll talk to you later. Love you.” Harry softly spoke as he hung up the phone, snapping Louis out of his daydream.

The blue eyed boy scurried to the couch and grabbed the plush piles of cotton and ran into Harry’s room. “Haz, is it okay if I come in?”

Harry quickly wiped his tears and hid his face, “Yeah, sure.” He spoke carefully, trying to sound emotionless.

“I overheard you on the phone. I brought you a present.” Louis said proudly as he held out the blankets.

Harry looked up, his green eyes looking tired and red stained from tears. He smiled softly and scooted over in his queen sized bed, making room for Louis. The older boy hopped onto the bed and quickly wrapped them in the snuggly blankets. It was comfortable, it was safe. “I love you Haz.” Louis spoke carefully while bringing Harry closer to him.

“I know, I love you too boo bear.” Harry’s voice was weak.

“I’m sorry it’s like this. You know if I could change things I would. I would change things in a heartbeat. God, I hate seeing you like this. It’s not fucking right. God, I hate those management cunts.” Louis soft words turn to brash insults.

“Lou…It’s okay.”

“No, it’s not. You shouldn’t feel like this, we shouldn’t feel like this. You should be happy.”

“I am happy.”

“Not enough. You’re so sad lately, you’ve shrunk. You’re not you.” Louis tried to be strong, he tried his best not to let tears fall.

“I know.” Harry’s eyes were watery once again. Fuck.

“Promise me you won’t give up? Ever?”

“I promise, Lou.” The boy’s voice wasn’t convincing. He nuzzled in Louis’ neck and sighed.

“Really. Promise. We only have to be brave for a little longer, than we go escape and live in the Italian country side and have awesome kids and write music, and live happily ever after.” Louis said as he stroked the soft skin of Harry’s arms. That was the dream. They had talked about it for months on end.

Once One Direction settled down, they would get married and move away, open up a small coffee house and spend time writing music and raising their beautiful kids. It’d be amazing, and perfect, and awesome.

“I just, I get tired of hiding all of this. I hate feeling trapped. I’m so proud of us, and what we are. God, I hate this.” Harry started to shake.

“Shh, calm down Hazza. It’s okay. I love you. I love you so much. God, I fucking love you.”

“I love you too, Louis.”

Things were hard. They both knew it. This wasn’t an easy road they were taking. But, it was worth it. Louis would do anything for that fucking crazy boy. Anything.  And, he intended on making him happy the rest of his life. So, fuck anyone who’s gonna try and get in the way of that.
