—•—Asra—•—

I began to read the tattered pages of my parent's spell book that they built together years before I was born, the candle on my desk illuminating the pages when I felt soft cold hands cover my eyes and a soft feathery kiss touch the back of my neck.
A grin formed on my face as I closed the book and placed my hands over theirs.
"Guess who."

But when it comes to her, I drop everything to be her loyal servant.

Her voice was like music to my ears and I grinned.

"Hmm. Soft petal like skin, jewelry...I wonder."
I pulled her hands away from my eyes and peered down at them, kissing her ring clad fingers, pulling her forward and she giggled, her body flush against my back as I kissed her forearms, tickling her.
"Azzie! Enough, I swear I will hex you. That tickles!"
She squealed when I pulled her around and grabbed her by her waist, lifting her up and dropping her down on the desk.
"I can't have such beautiful women disturbing me while I study, I suppose I will have to deal with you now." I dramatically sighed.
She draped an arm around my neck, throwing her head back in laughter.
"Asra!"
I kicked my chair back, laughing as I lifted her knees, wrapping her legs around my waist as I leaned forward, growling playfully, peppering kisses all over her face.
Her laugh and smile radiated to my core, making my heart soar at her entire existence.
My whole life revolved around her and I couldn't have been more happy to have my life tied to her.
I would follow her to the ends of the earth.

She cupped my face, her fiery amber eyes meeting my lavender ones and she smiled fondly before connecting our lips.
"You are truly something wizard."
She whispered against my lips, smiling into me.
Keeping her hands on my face, she trailed down my sculpted jaw to the swell of my throat, her kisses burning into my skin. I swallowed, letting a soft sigh escape my parted lips as she nipped at the muscle against my neck, feeling her smile and giggle.

This wasn't lust or some burning desire, this was just pure love. Only my desperate need for her presence at all times, to feel her.

I buried my face into her hair and neck, inhaling her hypnotic scent that makes me high every time she enters the room, the smell of bergamot and patchouli. It was heavenly.
She pulled away, looking into my eyes again.
I was speechless, lost for words as I took in her beauty and all of her glory, I was so love sick.
"Supper's ready. I had Muriel come with me to the market, just to get him out and about. It's your favorite...Blue Tongued Skink and I made roasted parsnips and potatoes to go with it. And if you behave...maybe...desert after."
She traced my bottom lip gently with her fingertips with a cheeky grin and I kissed them with a smirk.
"Hmm, sounds very tempting..."
I then scooped her up, wrapping her legs around my waist causing her to giggle and wrap her arms around my neck for dear life.
"But I would much rather have my desert now."
She threw her head back laughing in fits as I carried her to our bed, pecking her shoulders and clavicles with a stupid grin on my face.
Once we reached our room, I lowered her to the ground, leaning my lips towards hers.
And with a whip of her hand, the heavy beaded curtains swiped shut.

Eva cupped my face, kissing me deeply as I backed her towards the bed and she dropped her shawl to the ground. I pushed her back gently onto the assortment of pillows and furs, using my knee to spread her legs as I settled in between them.
Her fingers threaded through my thick white hair, tugging slightly as I kissed down her neck. She arched her head back, a soft breathless moan escaping her lips. Then suddenly she began to pull away from me, my lips following her.
"A-Asra....stop."
I pulled my head away from her, looking into her eyes as she cupped my face.
"Did I do something wrong?"
She shook her head with a small faint sympathetic smile, her golden eyes were now fizzling out.
"Eva? Eva, what's going on?"
Her skin became grey and lifeless, haunting me to the core, but her smile still remained.
"This isn't real Asra, your soul is not in the right place...."
I went into a panic, searching her face for some kind of explanation. Then I was struck with reality.
"No, no Eva, please I love you don't leave me....don't go...I can't-"
She cupped my face one last time, caressing my cheekbone and I leaned into it, pressing my lips against her palm as I clenched my eyes.
"Bye my love..."
Suddenly I was on the beach, sand beneath my fingers. The sky was the color of a endless void, the sand was sour and smelled of death, then I realized it wasn't sand at all. It was cremated remains...
I could taste it.
It was in my nose and mouth.
I looked around horrified until my eyes fell onto a figure laying at the bank of the beach.
I scrambled to my feet, running towards the figure and when I got close enough, I stopped dead in my tracks, the breath in my lungs catching in my throat..It was her.
I fell to my knees, my eyes swelling.
"No..no..no..please...please not her!"
I rolled her onto her back and I choked on a sob as I pulled her lifeless body into my arms.
Blood seeped from her full lips, her arm draped across her blood soaked clothing. Faint whispers began to surround me in distorted voices, repeating the same sentence. Then something else that seemed to prod it's way through the other voices.
The impending sound of a curse.

"Veritas Aequitas....Vertias Aequitas."

"Ab igne conburetis....."

Truth and justice.....burn by my fire...

Tears in my eyes, I looked down and Eva's body began to crumble to ash in my arms until I held nothing but air and the remnants of my lover.
"Eva..."
