"Hello...." I said when I answered Peter's call. "Hey, what's up?" He replied.
"Just hanging out at home, bout to go to the mall with Reivyn and Thomas.. you?"
"Helping my dad get Skyy's car fixed..."
"Fun.... so what are you talking about fake girlfriend?" I said out of curiosity.
He laughed.
"Exactly what I said, do you want to be my fake girlfriend?"
"Why do you need a fake girlfriend??"
I asked seeing i was confused by his random question.
"Genevieve is literally blowing up my phone. Daily. I need something to help push her away from me.. why not a fake girlfriend?"
He replied with a hint of laughter in his tone.
"You want to make her jealous? I'm confused. I thought you were over her. Completely."
I said feeling the jealousy monster hit me. I liked the fact that Peter was single, he was a nice person and I always hated Gen.
"I am, really. I just want a reason to get her to give up on the idea that we will get back together this time. And a girlfriend will do just that. All those times we broke up before we always got back together. We never dated others, never were split long enough to do so... but now....."
He said when I cut him off.
"I get it. I get it. Why me though?"
I asked for good reason. Less than a month ago he didnt know I even existed. We hadn't even been friends that long.. so I deserved a good reason at least.
"Because, your genuinely a cool person. & I think it would look believable"
He said. As I pondered the idea for a good minute but I guess i found the idea of being Peter's fake girlfriend intriguing, so I agreed.
"Ok, I'm in." I replied
"Cool" he said when I interjected before I had to hang up when Reivyn honked her horn in my driveway telling me she was here and ready to go.
"But, If were going to do this... it has to stay between US only. U and me. That's it. Or I will die of embarrassment"
I said hearing him scoff following it with a laugh.
"Duh" Peter said
"Talk to you later, about details?"
"Yeah, I'll text you" he said as we hung up and I got in the car with Reivyn and Thomas.
