Hello! Warning:
THIS IS SPOILERS FOR ANOHANA: THE FLOWER WE SAY THAT DAY! IF YOU WANT TO WATCH IT, I SUGGEST THAT YOU DON'T READ THIS!
There, you have been throughly warned.
It happened a while ago. Around 10 years to be exact.
10 years since our little world fell apart, and we seperated. Seperated, never to think that we would be brought back together by the one who ended us.
Yes, us. There were 6 of us. We spent almost all of our free time together. We were the Super Peace Busters. We always thought that we would stay together forever.
Stay the best of friends. Forever.
Alas, that wasn't what was in the future for us. After a question was asked, one of us ran away. She followed, then I had to go after her. I had something to tell her. I stopped her from chasing him, and confessed that I loved her.
She rejected me, and told me that she would talk to me tomorrow. I stood there listening to her feet pound away at the ground. I clench my fists and throw something into the forest. I run back to the hideout, where everyone else was.
Soon, it became dark, and everyone had went home to their familes. Neither of the two had come back to the hideout so I assumed that they were both home safe, sleeping in their beds.
Oh, how I was wrong. So, so wrong. The next morning, I wake up bright and early, and meet everyone at the hideout. By the time lunch came around, she still hadn't shown up. So we waited until it got dark. We were children, we didn't think anything other than that she must have been sick, and that she would come tomorrow.
When I got home, It was awful quiet, I thought that it was weird, Mother and Father didn't talk at the table during dinner like they usually did. Instead they kept looking at me with worry and concern on their faces. They asked me if I saw my friend today. I replied
"No, but that's okay. She must be sick, I'll visit her tomorrow with everyone else. That's waht we agreed on today before we all went home." They looked like they didn't want to to tell me something, but had to. My Mother opened her mouth and spoke through the silence.
"Atsumu, Menma-chan's dead. She died yesterday in the creek near the hideout you all go to." That's when everything came falling apart.
Menma was dead. Menma was dead.
Menma, who held everyone in the group together.
Menma, who always smiled and you almost never saw her shed a tear.
Menma, who always tried to come up with ways to make everyine in the group happy.
Menma, the girl I loved.
Her existence dissappeared, never to return. I would never see her smile again.
Never hear her voice again.
Never hear her laugh.
Never see, hear or do anything with her again.
She's gone, and that's when our world fell apart, and all of us seperated. Chiriko and I stayed close friends, but everyone else drifted away.
My only regret was never finding that hairpin I meant to give her, for it was the only thing that would keep my turmoiled mind at rest.
Yeah, I know that it's not real good. It's past 10pm over here, so I'm not at my finest.
I KNOW I HAVEN'T BEEN UPDATING MY STORIES! I've had tons of stuff going on. I'm writing this the same day I got back from my family camping trip.
Anyway, byez! I NEED SLEEP!
