Falling For My Best Friend

The kiss

Ross' POV~

Then, out of nowhere Rocky pushes Cassidy towards me. We hit the water and Cassidy's lips crash onto mine. I was so shocked but it felt so right, I felt sparks as soon as her lips touched mine.

Cassidy's POV~

I was so shocked! It felt amazing, but this can't happen! Ross is my best friend! As soon as our lips touch, I pull away.

Rydel's POV~

"Yes, guys! Our plan worked did you see that?! They kissed!" I yelled, excitedly.

Ross' POV~

When I came up for air I realized Cassidy did too, but she she ran away.

"GUYS REALLY?! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?" I yell. "I have to go find Cassidy, I hope you guys are happy, but now Cassidy's upset thanks to you!" I run away from them, and try to find Cassidy.

Cassidy's POV~

I run to the place where I feel safe and alone. There's a little cove on the beach that I go to when I'm feeling sad. I sit down and just cry for a minute then I start thinking. Why did they have to make me kiss Ross?! It felt good, but I can't like Ross! He's my best friend!

Ross' POV~

I think I might like Cassidy more than a friend now.. Wait.. No, that can't be possible she's my best friend! I keep thinking about it and then I hear someone crying inside of a little cave and I know it's Cassidy. She's my best friend I've heard her cry before, she tells me everything. I go inside and sit down next to her and put my arm around her. She jumps a little and I laugh.

"It's okay Cass, it's just me." I say and she calms down. She puts my head on her shoulder.

"Cassidy why are you crying" I ask?

"Because o-of e-everything thi-thing that-that just ha-happened." she says. "T-they made made me k-kiss you!"

"Was kissing me such a bad thing...?"

"Well, no it's just you're my best friend and now I don't know!" She sighs.

"Cassidy.. Um.. Can I tell you something?" I ask, nervously.

"S-sure.." she says, as a tear falls out of her eye.

"You know, that I love you. You're my best friend, you've always been there for me, and I never thought I would ever kiss you.. I mean I love you as a best friend but when we kissed, I felt.. It felt.. Amazing.. It felt like, we should be more than friends..." I trail off.

"R-Ross?" She asks.

"Yes, Cassie? I ask.

"I-It felt amazing to me too.." I smile at the thought of her feeling that way towards me too. I hug her tightly.

"Calm down Cass, it's okay." I picked her face up with my hands so shes looking at me then I hold her hands. We stare into each others eyes for a few minutes. I then lean in and kiss her, and I felt a warm, tingly feeling inside of my chest. This time Cassidy kissed back. We pulled away in need of air. "I love you so much... I-I love you.. More than just friends..."

"I love you too Ross...." she says.

"Wow, I can't believe we're here confessing our feelings for each other." I chuckle.

"I know right, I was thinking the same thing..." Cassidy says.

Then I slowly leaned in again. This is perfect, nothing can ruin this moment.

I'm kissing my best friend.. This is so wrong, but it feels so right.

But then we hear someone's voice.
