Speaking will be ".." , while thinking will be '..' Italic means it's a memory.

Now without further addue you may continue...

He slowly opened his heavy eyelids, eyes aching from the soft light. It took a few seconds for him to gradually focus on the unknown ceiling above him. WangJi was accustomed to the cold climates of the cloud recesses, however, at the moment he felt an unusual chill that pierced though his bones. With rigid movements he sat up until he was seated, scanned the room that remained unknown to him.

"Finally, you woke up."

WangJi turned to the voice in a hurry, losing control of his emotions, a glimpse of astonishment could be seen. The colour of his face seemed to pale as he saw Wei Ying watching him from the doorway. WangJi was not surprised by his current appearance, but by the cold look, wrapped in a hostile presence.

"Where?" His voice came out scratchy from disuse, his beautiful, white fingers tightening on the thin sheet.

"We are in Yunmeng. You slept for so many days, Lan Zhan ... " He chuckled and shook his head giving him a gleaming smile that once was so common, but WangJi felt a cruel prick in his heart ... That smile no longer held its innocence and mischief.

'Sleep ... Why would he sleep in tremendous situation?' He looked down to see the folds of Wei WuXian's tunic. immediately his mind wondered among his last memories.

The campaign to bring down the sun was advancing slowly but with firm steps. More and more sects of all sizes joined the fight to end the Wen Clan. Lan WangJi jumped between the rooftops with some disciples behind him. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Jiang Cheng break through the line of Wen cultivators. WangJi turned abruptly and with an elegant movement drew Bichen, who stopped Zidian's progress without difficulty.

"What do you think you're doing?" Jiang Cheng hissed, pulling on Zidian to no avail. "Are you protecting a Wen dog?"

"Not all represent the actions of the Sun. Some were forced to be part of this war." Wangji comments coldly, while the sparks of the whip crackled, Bichen did not budge. "Judge and punish without regard... Is this not the same as they do?"

"It is not the same! If you do not finish all of them then they will rise again! If you will not do your job, then do not get in the way" Jiang warned.

WangJi not only refused to let him pass, he was even willing to take out his Guqin. Jiang Cheng ground his teeth together as his features darkened. He kept blaming Lan WangJi and Jin ZiXuan for the attack on the dock, now that the younger Jade seemed to have mercy on the enemy, his heart was filled with even more bitterness. He loosened his grip on Zidian and then turned around.

"Let's go ahead, there are still Wen dogs to kill!" he shouted to the disciples.

Jiang Cheng cautiously turned around to face wangji only to freeze as he saw Lan Zhan looking at a child. The boy watched him (Jiang Chang) with huge eyes overflowing with fear. He seemed to be close to three years old and innocently wore the uniform of the Sun, not knowing what it signified. Beside him lay the body of a woman with beautiful features. The child was too naive, thinking that the person dressed in white had protected his life, the boy meekly allowed himself to be held in his arms.  Wangji sheltered him between the folds of his tunic, preventing him from seeing the bloody landscape. WangJi left the city and returned to Gusulan.
