So sorry guys. It's a bit later than I said. Some work came up and I didn't manage to finish it last night. But better late then never, here it is. Hope you enjoy ^.^
.....
Lan WangJi was curled up in one of the corners of the bed. He had stayed awake all night, feeling the low temperature licking his skin and clinging to his bones and soon the room became painted with the weak morning sunlight. Yunmeng had become a silent place with an atmosphere too dense, so much so that if you stretched your fingers you could surely touch all that resentful energy. WangJi spent all the night remembering his last conversation with Wei Ying. Lan Wangji could not accept his punishment because it was not the time, nor were there any reasons as to why he deserved it. But he discovered that Wei WuXian did not want to hear any excuses and that the best way to keep all the resentful energy he harboured steady was to meekly accept his forced stay at in Lotus Pier."My prison ..." He sighed slowly as he sat on the edge of the bed, the soft sound of movement turned his face. He did not answer, so after a few more seconds the door opened and a shy female face peeked out.
"Young Master Lan, I thought you were still asleep," she said with a certain shameful tone. With calm movements she ended up entering the room, holding a tray with what appeared to be breakfast in her hands "How are you feeling?" she asked.
Jiang YanLi was a young woman with an oval face, her features were delicate, almost innocent. For WangJi this was the first time he had seen her in person and his silent observation was due to the constant memory of Wei Ying fighting with blows to defend his Shijie. YanLi placed the tray on a small table.
"Wei Ying ... Where is he?"
"A-Xian and A-Cheng left very early." She gave him a gentle smile that reminded him of his brother XiChen. "They'll be back soon, so you do not have to worry."
Lan gets up, moving some a few steps in no certain direction. The room was barely big enough to be considered a resting place for a human being. In a quick visual inspection, he finds neither his Guqin or Bichen but instead stacks of books, loose sheets, brushes and ink.
There was a full-body mirror across from him and he saw himself reflected back. He was not wearing the Gusu's official robe (another item that had apparently gone astray), the under robes were too thin. His appearance was almost ghostly, skin of a sickly white that gave more emphasis to the dark circles beneath his eyes. His fingers had been treated and bandaged diligently, there was even a ridiculously perfect bun. He questioned the author of this task, Wei Ying or young Jiang?
"Young master ... Please, you must eat something."
"Thank you," he murmurs softly, retracing his steps to the small table.
....Wei WuXian watched the ruins of Gusu's central pavilion, wondering why they chose such a bleak place for their secret meetings about the campaign.
"It's not enough to finish off the Wen dogs!" Said one of the many leaders jubilantly.
"It's thanks to the union of Sects and the help of Wei WuXian."
Wei held an arrogant smile as he tilted his head, slowly pondering how to make the next attack. The old leaders began to discuss new formations and the territories they would be invading, assuming that those issues concerned Jiang Cheng, he turned to leave.
"Wei WuXian..." QiRen gave him a long look. The man looked too exhausted. "Are you not forgetting to report something significant?"
"Hmm?" I questioned and released a soft laugh knowing full well what he meant, "I have been very detailed in everything."
