On August 7th, Aron Kellen Bowe attempted suicide by jumping off a bridge.
A month later, on his sixteenth birthday, he sat in therapy. His therapist, Dr. Faeth (it was Scottish, she claimed), was talking to him, and he wasn't paying attention, again.
"So, Aron, have your suicidal feelings disappeared since you went to the cemetary again?"
He sighed. He'd heard the same old shtick a thousand times. His repressed memories of Kayla's death and the weeks after were forcing him into a depressive state and causing suicidal feelings. The way, supposedly, to fix him was to visit Kayla's grave and tell her he missed her. As if that could solve all his problems.
"No." he answered honestly.
Dr. Faeth frowned. "Well, if that didn't work, I have another method for you to try."
"I'll try anything." Aron said vehemently. Anything to remove the ache from his chest.
"I want you to write your story." she said.
"What?"
"Write it down. It can be a journal, it can be a book, a poem, whatever. Something to help you come to terms with what happened."
Aron scoffed, and spent the rest of the appointment giving short and sullen answers. But at three o'clock in the morning that night, he was struck with a powerful urge to die. Right then and there. It was the only thing that could stop this terrible, TERRIBLE pain. The doctor's words came back to him.
Silently, slowly, he worked his way over to his desk. Sat down. Pulled out a sheet of notebook paper and a pencil. Carefully, he began to write her story. Their story.
"Stab, Close!"
