The Sunday chapter

The next day.....
It is Sunday morning and Shekinah wakes up with her phone ringing. She sees the caller ID and it says "Stalker" and she ignores it.

Shekinah gets a shower. She wears her black high waisted jeans, Nike sneakers and a top with a hoodie. Shekinah puts her headphones on with her phone and leaves the room. She goes downstairs to see her mother and stepfather."Morning"she says and is about to leave but her mother stops her by talking.

"It's ten o'clock in the morning,sorry for not waking you up,I thought you were tired because of your sister's party yesterday."says Marcia."Why do you let her throw parties?"asks Shekinah with an emotionless face.

"She wants to and so we let her because she throws a fit if we don't."says Marcia."You sure raised a brat,then."says Shekinah as she puts on her headphones and leaves the house.

"Your daughter is right about you spoiling your daughter."says Damian looking at his wife."Let's not talk about that."says Marcia.

Shekinah walks into a restaurant and orders a burger with fries and coke. The waiter brings her food and she starts to eat. Zoe and her friends with her boyfriend enter the restaurant and they go sit at the back without seeing her. Shekinah continues to eat her food. She pays and goes outside. Shekinah walks and a motorbike parks at the restaurant. The guy takes off his helmet and looks at her. Shekinah looks at the guy with a confused look and moves on with her walking. The guy goes into the restaurant and goes to Zoe and her friends. The guy sits down infront of Zoe.

"You finally decided to join us."says Austin while looking at his girlfriend.

"I saw someone."says Hunter."You mean a girl?"asks Austin."Yeah,a girl."says Hunter and Zoe quickly looks at him with a shocked face.

"Well that's the first. What does this girl look like?"asks Diana who is sitting next to Hunter.

"It's the first time that I've see her in this town. She has Zoe's skin colour. She is like Zoe but more mysterious and beautiful.

"Maybe she was just visiting this town."says Zoe looking at Austin."Maybe because there is no New girl in this town."says Austin kissing Zoe's neck. Zoe rolls her eyes and looks at Hunter who is looking out the window. Zoe bits her lower lip while looking at Hunter.

"How is your sister,Zoe?"asks Darren."I last saw her yesterday. She was sleeping when I left the house."says Zoe.

"You were the one who got drunk last night and she is the one with the hangover."says Diana laughing.

"Wait..since when do you have a sister?"asks Hunter."Since forever really...she has just never bothered to tell us."says Austin.

"What is this girl like?"asks Hunter."More smarter than Zoe that's for sure and I don't think she is good news."says Austin.

"How exactly is she not good news?"asks Diana."Yeah I thought she was fine."says Darren.

"I just had a bad feeling about her. As if she is going to be ruining many things in this town."says Austin."What's happening tonight?"asks Zoe looking at Austin.

"There is going to be fire in hell."says Austin smiling at his girlfriend and Hunter looks at him.

Shekinah goes inside her house. She sees her mother and Damian wearing church clothes but her mother has just took off her shoes.

"Where have you been? It's now five o'clock."says Marcia looking at Shekinah. Damian sits down at the couch.

"Am going upstairs to finish reading my book."says Shekinah.
"Tomorrow is school so you better prepare yourself."says Marcia.

"I know."Shekinah goes up the stairs, gets inside her room,takes off the headphones and throws herself on the bed taking her book and reading it.

Downstairs.....
"Your daughters are very different from each other."says Damian.
"They are not supposed to be the same."says Marcia to her husband."Marcia, Shekinah is better than Zoe. Zoe is spoilt and a brat while it shows that Shekinah's father never spoilt her too much and reached her about things.

"Let's not talk about my ex deceased husband,okay?asks Marcia."Why didn't you go to his funeral?"asks Damian."Because I did not want to"says Marcia as she goes into the kitchen leaving Damian in the living room.

At dinner.......
Shekinah is sitting there listening to her mother and Damian bickering. Shekinah rolls her eyes and ears her food. She finishes and gets up. Shekinah puts her palate on the sink,tells them goodnight but they don't hear her and so she goes to her room.

At the middle of the night Shekinah gets up as she hears the door closing. She slowly walks down the stairs to see as Zoe is tiptoeing.

"Where have you been?"asks Shekinah folding her arms to her chest."None of your business."says Zoe as she passes Shekinah but she holds her arm."You smell like smoke."says Shekinah and she let's go of Zoe's arm."Stay out of my business."says Zoe as she leaves Shekinah there standing.

Shekinah goes back to her room.
