Y/N's P.O.V.
"Now you've all calmed down a little, would someone please explain what the fuck just happened?" Dean asked in annoyance. I was sat on a chair in front of Sam who was busying himself, combing through my wings. It was relaxing for me and they didn't ache as much. Sam also seemed quite happy touching the soft grey feathers.
"Y/N and Sam are second soulmates. Basically, their original soulmates are dead, but somehow they've recreated a bond and it's stronger than any other." Cas said and Dean looked at us both.
"I researched into Y/N and found out what Lucifer actually did to her. Her first soulmate was a man named Tom, also taken by Lucifer, they met in Y/N's Medical school. He tortured them both, but decided that he wanted Y/N to suffer so he forced wings to grow. When they grow, it rips the skin and can even break bones, it's a very painful process.""Basically, he made me rip myself apart, before healing me and making me do it again." I said and Sam froze for a second, before continuing.
"When she had an opportunity to escape, Lucifer forced her wings out and she accidentally hit her soulmate, causing him to hit his head, dying instantly." I frowned a little at the memories and sighed.
"So how do, you know, how do you put them away?" Dean asked awkwardly.
"I can do that easily and as long as the skin doesn't heal over I can get them out almost painlessly." I looked back at Sam, who had a small frown on his face as he played with one of the darker feathers.
"Right, well I need food. I'll go get pizza or something." Dean stood up and left.
I stood up and walked away wordlessly, heading towards my bedroom. I barely even noticed Sam following me."Y/N?" I turned to look at the hunter and he leaned down, kissing my lips gently.
"What's wrong?""Your brother hates me." Sam closed the door and I sat on the bed.
"No he doesn't, Dean just doesn't like change." I looked at the Moose with a raised eyebrow.
"He asked if I could put these away and when I didn't he made an excuse to leave." Sam sighed and sat next to me.
"Are they feeling any better?" I have him a small smile.
"Lots better." I kissed his cheek.
"I think this is the first time they've not hurt.""Dean will get over it, don't worry." I nodded my head and Sam hugged me.
"And If he doesn't, it just means that I get these all to myself." Sam chuckled, stroking my wing."Yeah? Well they're going away now, because if you didn't notice, they ripped my shirt." I stood up and Sam laid down.
"I really liked this one too." I walked over to my closet and pulled out a simple (favourite band) tee and a flannel.
"Can you help me for a second?""Sure." Sam walked over to me and I turned my back to him.
"Can you just rip the shirt underneath my wings so I can get it off without hurting them?" Sam did as I asked and I slipped it off with ease, dropping it into the bin. I turned back and Sam was watching me.
"Pervert.""Nope. I'm just admiring the view." He smirked and I rolled my eyes. I folded away my wings and Sam pouted. I picked up my tee, throwing it on with the flannel and Sam wrapped his arm around me.
We walked out to the library, where Cas was reading and he looked up smiling slightly."Are you feeling better?" He asked and I gave him a smile.
"Nothing some pizza and beer can't fix." Sam chuckled.
"You're beginning to sound like Dean." I stuck my tongue out at Sam and Dean came back only minutes later.
"I have pizza, beer and pie!" The older Winchester grinned and put everything onto the table.
"I'll grab some plates." Cas announced, walking towards the kitchen and Sam stood up too.
"I'll help him." Dean opened the box of pizza.
"Sorry if I was acting like a dick." He sighed and I internally groaned.
"It's fine. Sam texted you?" He shook his head.
"Cas." I chuckled a little.
"We have plates!" Cas came in, followed by an amused looking Sam.
"I moved them to the top shelf and he couldn't reach." Sam grinned, obviously proud of himself.
"You're an idiot." I shook my head and we spent the rest of the night joking, eating pizza and drinking beer.
