The Dark Assassin

Chapter 1- Assembly

Kore Pov

"What are we doing today?" asked Kira.
"I don't know. We have no classes today, nor do we have social lives to try and keep up with," I replied.
Just then the headmaster decided to make an oh so important anouncement over the speakers, conveniently placed in all of the rooms. "All students are to report to the assembly hall immediately. I mean all students," boomed the headmaster's voice.
"Ugh. I don't want to go," Kira complained.
"To be fair you were just complaining that you were board, so we might as well go," I stated.
"Fair enough," she sighed.
"Good. We better go," I said.

                          We made it to the assembly hall and took a seat as far away from anyone as possible. Let me just tell you, in a school filled with three different supernatural creatures it is harder than it sounds. Three. Vampires, Reptiles, and Werewolves. Let's just say they don't like each other that much. Anywho, we took our seats just as the headmaster started talking.
"Our school has been invited to the annual mate ball. Everyone has to go no matter your species. Everyone must dress nicely," he glared at me, "It is a masquerade so whichever outfit you were must have a mask. Everyone will be leaving in pairs at different times. Your time will be in your room when you return. Be outside at your exact time no earlier nor later. You are dismissed."
Everyone left the hall to go back to their rooms to get ready all chatting about how they were so excited about the ball. I must definitely am not excited about this. "So what are you going to were?" questioned Kira.
"I have some nicer clothes in my closet that probably will work. I also own a mask so I'll be good" I responded.
We got back to our rooms and saw that we would ride together. She is probably the only one of use excited to go to this ball. Not that I am surprised given that she wants to find her mate and likes going to dances.
"I am going to get dressed. You should too," Kira declared.
"Alright I will. I'll come and get you when I am done. Unless you somehow finish before me which is highly unlikely," I said. With that we both went to get dressed.

I know it sucks but I am trying. Hopefully it gets better as it goes on. I will try and make the other chapters much longer and more interesting as I learn how to portray my thoughts in writing. I'll describe the characters and what they look like when we meet more of them. I will also put their professions and relationships in with the descriptions. Good bye for now.
