CHAPTER 11 THE BUGS

Lady Lawson’s natural beauty was unquestionable. Her noble appearance and elegance did not diminish in spite the interrogatory room was neither aristocratic nor glamorous. Nevertheless, her facial expression was no longer showing that cynicism common among politicians, bankers and real estate sellers. There, sat among the other suspects, she was looking like an ordinary woman, less noble, less haughty, and even less beautiful.

Captain Bad One came into the room holding a few documents in his hand. He had a perceptive look that morning, and seemed to be relaxed and ready to expose the plot in front of everyone. He was about to show the most difficult case he had ever handled along his career as a detective.

Much to their dismay, all the suspects were inside the room. One cast a glance over everyone in the room. Désmond Phelps, the dwarf, and Klirkicuplin, the chauffeur, who were detained at the airport. Rose, who despite being sedated with a large amount of chlorpromazine enough to knock out a horse, she still was shaking in her straight jacket, and Lady Lawson, of course. There were also three agents of brigade, and… a bald man who seemed to be very attentive and pleased with everything that was going on.

But both the Chief of the Department of the BIC and the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Joan Collins, and other personalities that had come to see the suspect's interview were in the contiguous room, so he must not allow himself to get carried away. The face of all the suspects became more suspicious, if such a thing was possible, so much so that they already began to seem guilty. In particular the monstrous housekeeper, whose face of infernal beast was getting increasingly uglier at the same time as she was seized with convulsions.

The strong man began whining not able to stop doing it, and he was justifying himself accusing everybody else, starting with tiny Phelps.
