Warnings//Mentioned Android Murder, Cursing
Prompt// Low Battery

Gavin is fucking exhausted when he and Nines are called in late on a Friday after working a twelve hour shift for three days in a row. It's been a lot since the Android revolution and the Human on Android violence happening everywhere. This is just another Android murder of course and it'll be open and close once they track down the DL600 Stacy's previous owner Jared Price.

He is leaned against the wall of the small condo barely there and hardly holding his eyes opened. Anderson is outside in his car, passed out drunk with a stack of case files in his lap as well as the dashboard in front of him. Nines is kneeling next to the poor girl's body doing whatever the fuck it is he does. Connor is standing near him and he catches the detective's fogged attention instantly.

It is fast when the shorter Android's LED goes from a soft, pulsing yellow of calculating indifference to a violently orange flashing pinwheel. The brown eyed man takes a shaky step back breathing out something to Nines before the disk of color darkens to black. Connor collapses backwards and Reed is lurching forward to catch him expecting a much heavier weight than he gets.

He looks down at the androids synthetic skin as it begins to melt away to unforgiving white plastic with slight worry. His brain idly wonders through it's exhausted haze how Connor can still manage to be beautiful like this. Nines sighs and rolls his eyes glancing up from the corpse, "I'm sure my emergency charger will fit him, his port is at the base of his neck. I'll make sure the Lieutenant gets home".

Gavin yawned in response, too tired to argue or really acknowledge that this would be the first time the object of his affection would be in his home. Shitty as his apartment was it was home to him, his three cats, and occasionally Nines. Heaving the surprisingly light Android up into his arms he nodded at Tina and stumbled to his car thanking whatever deity that was out there that he finally decided to go for a self driving one.

When he got home he sat the man on the couch as softly as possible and pulled the high tech charging device from the drawer on his coffee table. Blurry eyed but still awake enough to be cautious he opened the port on the back of Connor's neck carefully and clicked the charger into place. Gavin smiled slightly as the other man began to look like himself again. Fluffy, slightly curly, brunet hair falling over his forehead. Creamy skin with slight freckles and constellations of moles.

Taking a deep breath he curled his hand around Connor's and leaned back on the couch. Eyes drooping closed he sighed in contentment. This was exactly the place he wanted to be.
