where Am I?

I crouch below on the forest floor, my senses sharp and body coiled as if at any moment ready to attack. These feelings were new to me. This could not be reality, my reality where I am trapped in the city. I never sleep ironically enough not because of the city, but for what nightmarish reality took place here.

I can feel my heart race, breath shaking. As if the body knew its spirit was no longer in possession. I ran. So quickly I tried to escape this illusion, hitting this body, trying to slap myself awake. It only left a sharp sting. Soon after it felt like only moments of running did I find myself on a beach. The morning sun was just hitting the cliff peaks. In that picture perfect scene, I could feel my very soul shiver. It hum in content of it's surroundings. As if this was the very place it sought to be. A place I had never known nor seen and yet I felt more at peace here then any other.

I slowly took this body closer to the edge, where sea met sand. I could feel the cold seabed curling around my bare toes, the sudden rush of the bitter water laving only faint goose bumps on this body. My breath caught in my throat as I dared look down into the dark sea waters.

My eyes widen, I could feel my heart skip the constant beat in my chest. There in the waters mirror, a large muscular frame, short cut brown hair, the only thing similar to my own body was the sun kissed tan skin. Which I had grown use to, no matter my lack of outdoors men ship, the color never seem to fade. What I could not fathom from this body was the eyes...

Eyes in human color, like burnt sugar, but in the shape of a wolf? I could feel my body-this body start to shake, in fear and confusion. I tried to scream but no sound left those lips. I was trapped, and I couldn't tell express if this new prison was for better or worse. My vision grew dizzy and my ears begun to ring as the sound of howls approached...I felt this body turn cold, I knew this was the end...

        Or so I thought.

The world halted to a stop, I could feel air rush into my lungs once again. As I opened my eye, I stood at a stand still. This limbs locked. There before me was a wolf, larger then my standing height. I waited for the beast to lunge for me,  I could only guess I would provide a decent snack. Yet, this huge wolf only dipped it's head as if bowing to me, and made a low growl with it's throat. The motion did not strike fear into me as I had thought it would, but set my stomach into a frenzy and my heart to flutter.

When I looked into this creatures eyes, my heart gave way...and for that moment I felt connected to this beast and all that he held close. I felt the very world shift...my vision grew bright. It was only then did I know that I had awoken to my own tormented reality.
