I looked into the office with awe, in high contrast to the rest of the building, the room was furnished with colourful tables and chairs and decorated with figurines from various different TV shows, movies and video games.

"Oh hello" a voice said, a chubby man with incredible facial hair stood up from one of the two work desks in the room as he noticed my arrival. "Y/N, right?" I simply nodded still amazed by my surroundings.

"I'm Julian" the man continued, he gestured at the seat next to him "take a seat" he smiled at me. It was a cute smile I had to admit. I sat down and Julian offered me some lays chips, I reluctantly took some trying not to look too eager, noticing this Julian let out a laugh, it was more like a wheeze "you don't have to be all professional, this place is pretty laid back" this statement slightly shocked me.

"Really?" I asked, letting my eagerness come into plain view

"Really, really. I probably shouldn't say it like this but, this is going to be a pretty fucking easy job for you" he giggled momentary at my shocked expression but quickly continued "I know your probably thinking that your gonna have to work your ass off as our intern, have orders shouted at you and not give you a moment's rest. But I'm glad to tell you this isn't the case, we just need a helping hand to keep us from running behind, that's all."

To say I was surprised was an understatement, I've been so used to having bossy employers the prospect of a genuinely nice one was incomprehensible considering the closest I had ever been was my boss at a takeaway restaurant who made the nice gesture of firing me via text rather than his usual technique which was screaming at you in front of all your former co-workers.

Once I composed myself Julian gave me a tour of the office, he took me to my desk, other than a laptop the desk was totally empty but he encouraged me to bring in, as he says "knick-knacks" I looked up from my desk and noticed a second door in the room.

"What's that for" I asked, totally prepared to be told it's just the restroom, but apart of me hoped it was something better, that part of me wasn't let down

"Oh that's Ding-Dong's room" of course how could I forget, Wan Wan games isn't just a one man show, Ding-Dong does all the programming for their projects. Julian continued

"He's really sick right now so he probably won't come out for today at least"

"Wait!" I responded slightly louder than intended "he's still working, shouldn't he be resting" I felt like I was being a real mum but at the same time I also had slight OH&S concerns, even if he is in a separate room

"Yep, nothing can stop him, not even my whining" he grinned at me and continued his tour.

He showed me the kitchen and explained

"Unless food is labelled, it's all up for grabs" he then leaned closer and whispered "Sometimes I steal a bit of Ding-Dong's curry leftovers but just enough so he won't notice" and there was his name again. Through my research no one except his friends know his real name or what he looks like, I have no idea if I'll learn either of these things but a girl can hope.
