There I was, at this expensive and loud nightclub in the middle of Stockholm, Sweden when I was suppose to be there on a business trip with 2 of my colleagues, whom were dancing with random drunken Swedish men! I stood at the bar ordering a small shot of whatever seemed good. It was a little difficult to read the menu above the bar, I know some Swedish from self study, but not in depth like this. I ordered a Sweet Cider glass. It had that definite sweet kick to it. I sat down by myself at a booth next to the bathrooms. I watched girls pile in the bathroom chatting and laughing from their buzzes. My two colleagues were dancing together while some guy grinded behind them. For being in this line of business they sure are very laid back, probably from the alcohol. We all were working for a big company investing in all kinds of work. Currently we are talking amongst companies in Sweden. We are in the line of Business Management. We help other companies similar to ours in America. Right now, it so happens to be a big company here in Stockholm. I found myself warming up inside from a slight buzz. I took out my phone to check for Emails or anything important, shocker, nothing. I was basically a nobody, so I didnt expect to see 10 missed calls or even a single message. Sad, I know. I continued to wait for my two stooges to be done with the grind fest that was happening amongst the crowd. A strange man from over at the bar eyed me down. He had dark brown hair, was definitely taller than me, and had a beer looking substance in his hand. I tried to play it off like I didnt see him looking at me, but I was drawn into in. His gaze was interrupted when another taller gentleman nudged him back to reality. I sat there listening to the terrible dance music they were playing, sipping from my drink that was almost gone. I looked out of curiosity to the man again but to my surprise he wasnt there anymore. I got kind of bummed out. I thought he was good looking. What am I thinking!? Im literally nobody. Plus this trip is business! I was startled when the man who I was looking for appeared out of nowhere and right in front of me. He smiled and began to speak Swedish.
Im sorry.. Do you speak any English sir? I stumbled from my buzz.
Oh, yes, hello. He spoke out.
Hi.
I noticed you were sitting here alone and I couldnt help but come ask why?
My colleagues and I stopped in for a quick drink after a meeting we had here and, well, they decided to find themselves in a grind pit.
He laughed to my remark.
you are funny. Do you want another drink? I can buy. By the way Im Tobias
I couldnt help but think about how gorgeous he was. His eyes pierced my soul, dragging me out of any buzz I had and putting me into another one. He had green sharp eyes, ones that would stop your heart the moment you looked into them.
Im already buzzed from this one to be honest. Im a lightweight. I giggled.
May I sit with you? Or will I be of a bother?
No no, sit, youre all good!
He sat down and as he did I smelt his strong but trance inducing cologne. It was making me feel even more lost in the moment than the drink.
So you said you were here in Sweden for a meeting? If I may ask, what kind of meeting is it?
Its for my job back in America. I work for a international business company. Its been my job for 2 years now and so far Ive traveled to Japan and here. Its like free vacations and lots of meetings I laughed and smiled
Oh, that is very nice. As for home life, do you have a favorite hobby or a husband?
I thought to myself, that sneaky man asking me questions then popping that one big question in. Do you have a boyfriend or husband? I laughed outloud.
I love photography and I also love traveling to be fair. Also, no I do not have a love life. Im too focused on work, or thats just what the previous 2 guys said as they were leaving. I began to get a seriously think now. Deep in my thoughts of how I could never find someone who I was worth for.
I do too love traveling, I do often with a band I started a while back. I feel you on the love situation. I was in a relationship with a woman who had it all. She never needed me and reminded me of that everyday. I eventually left when I built up enough confidence to tell her. He looked away. His look told me everything. Hed been hurt. His green eyes met mine.
Do you want to dance maybe? he asked more serious now.
Sure.. I stumbled to my words from the deep thinking I was in.
He stood up and as I guessed he had at least 5 inches or more on me in height. He reached for my hand and as soon as I felt his in mine, it was like it was meant to be there. I followed him to the dance floor where he quickly ran up to the DJ and slipped him a request. The next I knew the place dimmed around me and the crowd slowed in pace. The DJ began to play a song I havent heard before. It was slow but had a drum beat to it and the voice sounded similar. Tobias came back and told me that the song was his. He was singing it and that put me in a world of deep admiration. The song was beautiful. Lady Morgue By Subvision. His band. He grabbed my waist and we danced. I put my head on his chest and he lead the dance. I was smiling from the moment and the warmth of my buzz. We danced till the very last beat of the song faded out. After the song ended he looked into my eyes and pulled me into a kiss. It was drunken and passionate. I fell into the kiss with my eyes closed. We kissed for at least a minute before parting lips. He looked down into my eyes and spoke.
You have amazing dance skills I giggled and fell into his arms. Drunk and happy.
