🎼 Chapter 1 • Origins 🎼

A wet and stormy night fell over the Kingdom of Melody, storms crashed and buildings shook. The townspeople had just turned themselves in for the night and left the streets empty. Everything was peaceful, everything was silent. No one was left outside in the rain, all except for one.

A figure cloaked in emerald green and shawled to hide her identity quietly walked down the empty streets of Melody. The figure wore a black ninja body suit that made them blend into the darkness of the night. The green helped them be hidden in the trees. The figure walked down the streets confidently, and yet subtly, dodging past lit street lamps that dare reveal their identity. The figure skulked the night hiding behind walls as people inside their houses turned their lights off closed the drapes unaware of the mysterious figure in the midst. The figure walked through the cold night searching for their journey's end, and that's when they found it, the Royal Palace of Melody.

The figure flew down the path and hid behind an oak tree surrounding the Palace fence. Guards robed in purple and gold patrolled all around the fence, leaving only a minute gap between patrols. Giving the mysterious robed figure time to sneak by unseen. The figure quickly allowed their magic to flow through their body and their hands lit up with dark purple energy. They aimed their right hand at the wall they lay against and cast a spell. "Destruir!"

The figure exclaimed as a small portion of the wall crumbled before them. The sound of the wall being crumbled to dust caused alarm to some of the guards as they came running, weapons raised. The figure looked behind them, glowing white eyes piercing through the black cloak. The figure cursed underneath their breath and hid behind the shrubs before them. The figure smirked seeing that the wall had caused all of the guards patrolling the grounds and arrived at her wall, leaving the rest of the grounds unprotected. Turning their head as they glimpsed at the guards examining the damage done to the wall the figure's hands began glowing once more.

"Tenebris Dormitabis" (Dark slumber)

The figure's spell caused the guards to collapse onto the ground in a sleeping state. Smirking once again and glided through the hole in the wall, chuckling as she passed the sleeping guards on the floor. The figure flew past the paintings on the walls and hid just by one of the doors ordained in the colours gold and purple. The figure heard guards patrolling the palace balconies, inside the Palace. The figure summoned their powers again and bashed the palace door down and flew in.

"Intruder!" One of the guards yelled, readying their weapon firing at the moving target.

"I don't think so!" The figure giggled evilly, as all of the guards on the ground floor began charging at the figure.

"Tenebris Dormitabis!"

Just like what happened outside, the guards inside the Palace collapsed onto the floor in a sleeping state. 

"Such a pity" The figure taunted as they flew over the guards and walked up the grand staircase. As the figure made their way upstairs they began to hear the sound of a baby crying. The figure ran down the hallways, spelling any guard that came their way casting them into a deep sleep. The figure flew quickly down the hallways until they bust through a door startling someone inside. The blast caused smoke to circle the room as the figure glided inside greeting the occupant. The figure saw a young woman clutching a small baby in her hands.

"Knock, knock... Anybody home?" Taunted the figure as the smoke cleared.

The figure removed the hood from their head revealing their identity to the woman, with low flowing white hair, white opal eyes and with an emerald sceptre by her side.

"Jadis!" The woman hissed clutching the child closer to her chest.

"Hello, dear sister" Jadis taunted, her emerald jewel upon her crown shining as she flew, circling the women before her. "Thank you for revealing that you're the Princess' fairy godmother"
