"don't remember", chanhee blurted out in between his sobs, his face buried on his knees, him hugging them tight. he knew he can't stop the pain and that's what hurts him more, the fact that he knew that there's no way he can stop it.
it pains him, that the past seems to be holding him, that it seemed like it won't let him to atleast show a genuine smile. he hates the feeling that occupies his chest, most things that surrounds him, most of the things that he sees everyday, reminds him of the good memories. unfortunately, no matter how happy can they be, the sound of laughter in his mind, turned into loud cries of help and agony.

"please don't cry", a voice. hearing it, chanhee raised his head but appeared no one in sight, though just hearing just a few words from the voice, he felt his heart beating, he felt his stomach churn, and his crying stop. the soft and soothing tone of the voice, made him feel something familiar.
he stared up at the sky with a face tainted with wet tears that are soon to dry, his mouth slightly agaped, there shooting stars appeared, trailing their way to where they will land in the earth. the beautiful sight made his heart race, the beautiful melody played once again in his mind, the voice. a smile crept its way on his lips, forming crescents in both of his eyes. a smile, oh how long has it been that he smiled like this? genuinely.
"there, a beautiful person like you should be smiling more", and from then, he knew the pain was temporarily gone.
