(Annabelle's POV)

I wake up and I feel a horrible pounding in my head, and an excruciating pain in my left foot. I quickly raise up and look around, I'm not in my room. It's too dark to know exactly where I am, but I am almost certain it's not my room, nor is it my house. I try to get out of bed as quietly as possible, but me being my unlucky self, as I got to my feet I fell. Soon after I heard someone coming to the door, and I started to panic. Although there was nothing I could really do. As soon as the door opened I was paralyzed with fear, but I was quickly relieved when I seen it was only Ryan.

Then, it all came back rushing to me. Everything. My parents being dead, going to the hospital with Ryan, and then collapsing. I got so lost in thought I didn't even realize I was crying until I noticed Ryan holding me telling me it would be alright.

I look up at Ryan and all I could say is, "Thank you" he looked shocked by my words but shortly after told me, "You don't need to thank me, I'm your best friend. This is what I'm here for Anna." I just smiled and nodded.

About an hour has passed and we were still lying in the floor silently, so I decided speak.

"Ryan", I quietly whispered not knowing if he was asleep or not.

"Yeah Anna?" He sleepily replied.

"Oh, nothing I was just wondering if you wanted to go to sleep. I probably have a long day tomorrow.." I began to trail off thinking of my parents.. I can't believe they're dead.

Ryan snapped me out of my thoughts by speaking. "Yeah, we should go to bed. But, your aunt and uncle from Australia are flying in tomorrow to help you with arrangements. They called earlier, but you were asleep."

"Alright, goodnight Ryan.." I said while getting up and into bed. Ryan quickly followed, but instead of getting in bed he kissed me on the forehead and said, "Goodnight Anna, I'll miss you." I didn't know what that was about, and I was too tired to find out. So, I ignored it. I'll just ask about it tomorrow. And with that, I let sleep take over my body for the night.
