Maria's POV
It's my first day at a new school. A fresh beginning. I guess what they say is true, In New York you can be a new woman! I walk into the principal's office, Mr. Washing greets me. "Hello Maria! I'm guessing your here for your schedule?" I nod. "Here it is!" He hands me a sheet of paper.
First I have Math, then Social studies, then history, then E.L.A, and last is writing. "Thank you." I say smiling. "I have asked two girls to show you around, Peggy and Eliza Schuyler. They're waiting for you outside." "Okay" I say on my way out.
I see a tan girl with dark brown hair with a baby blue dress on, by a shorter girl with dark skin, curly dark brown hair and a poofy yellow dress on. I walk up to them. "Excuse me, are you Peggy and Eliza? Schuyler?" They look over, the girl in blue nods smiling and the girl in yellow waves.
"I'm Peggy!" The girl in yellow says, and her sister says, "And I'm Eliza!" I smile and shake their hands. "I'm Maria, Maria Reyn- Lewis, I meant Lewis. Nice to meet you!" "Let's start with outside, this is the field." Eliza said pointing to a big patch of grass. She continued naming the places outside.
"Now onto inside!" Peggy said. We continued walking threw out the school, cracking jokes. I had made 2 friends that day. I had made 2 crushes that day.
