‘Hello? Who’s this?’ Cly asked into the phone. Her voice was shaky. She had never seen this number pop up on her phone before, and it had to be someone she knew because how would a complete stranger now Cly’s number?

‘Snoopy! It’s Snoopy!’ He yells into the phone, ‘My mom finally got me a phone for just me. I got a new number and everything! It’s a IToon 5s. The newest of them all!’

‘Lucky. Very lucky.’

Cly grabbed the New Town Articles off of her table. She gets them every Saturday. The Toontown Central Times come out on Sunday, and that is the correct time a newspaper should come out. Before reading the news articles, she makes herself a glass of warm milk. Her personal favorite on a Saturday morning.

‘Hey, Snoopy?’ Cly asked into the phone that was on speaker.

‘Yes?’

‘I’m going to go. I’m going to read the New Town Articles, and then I’m taking a cat nap. Talk to you later.’

‘Okay, bye.’

‘Bye.’ Cly finishes off the conversation. She puts the phone back on the stand it’s supposed to be on. She starts reading the article. What she read surprised her.

Vicious Winter Storm on the Way

By: Weather Reported Simon

Earlier this morning, the Toon Satellite had detected a massive winter storm heading our way. It is bound to at least last a week. The National Toon Weather Services would like you to gather supplies for this big event that will be happening in the next few hours. Some required items are a heater, blankets, pillows, air up mattresses, coffee, hot cocoa, etcetera. We would like it if you would take shelter in the lowest place you can find, and it needs to have outlets.

Cly swallows the milk with a big gulp. She turned on her toonvision to see what the temperature was. 57 degrees. An hour sure does fly by quicker than you think. Cly grabbed her jacket and she walked out the door. She walked down the grassy streets. Boy would Cly miss the green grass. All the way to Snoopy’s she just kicked her converse in the tall green grass. Dirt flipped up from here and there. She finally arrived at his house. Her cheeks were rosy red, her fur, a creamy white. Red and creamy white don’t mix that well. Cly bent over. She ripped out a blade of grass, put it by her mouth, and made a whistle noise with it. She giggled.

Snoopy swung open the door, ‘What was that?’ He made that fake angry look go on his face.

‘Umm. . Can I come in? It’s urgent,’ Cly asked. She slipped the blade of grass into her back pocket of her black skinny jeans.

‘Sure,’ Snoopy moved out of the way. He held the door open for her as she walked in. Snoopy flinched at the cold that was seeping in before him and Cly. Cly went to go sit down on the couch.

‘It’s so warm in here!’ Cly mewled in relief. She took off her coat, and sat it by one of the heaters in the living room.

‘So, whats up?’ Snoopy turned towards Cly. He crossed his legs, and put his hands by his chin like he was wanting to talk to Cly.

‘Well. . Since you’re only ten, I suppose this may scare you a bit, but I was reading the New Town Articles when I hung up with you this morning, and I figured out there is going to be a winter storm coming our way,’ Cly said. Snoopy’s mom came out, and she gave Cly a glass of warm milk. ‘Thanks Miss. McDonald.’
