Deimos' Point Of View
Deimos was relaxing at home about twenty minutes after Kratos and Atreus left to hunt. He gathered Faye's ashes and put it in a decorative sack. He took off his tattered shirt and gazed with his one good eye, his right one, at the birthmark identical to his elder brother's tattoo.
It was still glowing after all these years, but it was like a nearly extinguished coal. Dim and dark, but it gave off slight light. After he cleaned out a wound from five minutes ago from him trying to cook, he heard a large flapping sound. Like . . . . A large bat. A giant Harpy of Ares.
Then he heard hard knocking at the door. A voice said,
"Come on out! There's no use hiding anymore! I know who you are! More importantly, I know what you are! Just tell me what I want to know. No need for this to get bloody!"
Deimos picked up a bronze bracelet and put it around his forearm. He grabbed a sword and shield next, sheathing the sword and strapping the shield to his back. He answered the door, and saw a man covered in runic tattoos, spanning across his arms and torso.
"Huh. I thought you'd be bigger. But you're definetly the one. Long way from home, aren't we?" The man said. Deimos looked at him for a moment and said, "Can I help you? What do you want?"
"Oh, you already know the answer to those questions."
"Whatever you seek, sir, I do not have. Best you move on." The man laughed.
"And here I though your kind was supposed to be so enlightening, so much, smarter than us, so much better. But you hide out here in the woods, like a cowar-duh." The Stranger accentuated the 'd' in 'coward.'
"Sir. Move on. You don't want this."
"Hmmmmm . . . . Oh, I'm pretty sure I do." The Stranger backhanded Deimos, But all it did was jerk his head to the right.
"Leave. My. Home."
"You . . . . Are going to have to kill me for that to happen." The Stranger sneered. The Stranger punched Deimos square in the face, then punched him in the stomach, then uppercutted him. The next punch he threw, however, was caught by his foe.
Deimos dragged his hand to the side, before cocking his hand back.
"Oh, finally," The Stranger muttered under his breath, then was punched so hard, he fell to the ground and flipped onto his front.
"You wouldn't listen." Deimos said.
The Stranger was whispering a chorus of 'No' before Deimos dragged him to his feet by his right arm.
"Fine. My turn." The stranger said, before punching him over the roof and into the backyard. Deimos had barely enough time to think, 'Oh, Gods of Olymp--' before he flew over the roof from an uppercut that made him lose a tooth. His top left wisdom tooth, actually.
He landed face first in the dirt and spat some out, before he heard The Stranger land behind him. He unsheathed his sword and got the shield from his back, and he got into a fighting stance.
"How incredibly disappointing. Come on then." The Stranger got the first hit in with a body shot to the kidneys. Deimos recovered swiftly, then slashed The Stranger's calf open, then rolled to the side and jabbed him in his appendix. Deimos leaped backwards and barely dodged an ice bramble as The Stranger leaped and smashed his fists into the dirt.
Deimos sprinted towards The Stranger and shield-bashed his face, breaking his nose. Then he slammed his face into the ground, cracking his skull. The Stranger grabbed his sword and shield and threw them aside.
