Chapter 2:Fake Dates

"Hey Brooke this might be out of the blue but do you want to go on a date tomorrow?" Ask Tyler Blake.

The ducking Tyler Blake just ducking asked me out!!!!!!!!

OH MY GOD MY EVOL TYLER BLAKE JUST ASKED ME ON A DATE!!!!!!!!!!!

This is exactly how I imagined it . He walks up to me out of the blue and asks me on a date, then whisks me off to a fancy dinner restaurant, then, we instantly fall in love and get married and have babies !

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes a million times!" I exclaim in excitement.

I look to the side to Daniel coughing uncontrollably obviously trying to hide laughter . Why is he laughing?!

Great....he ruined a perfectly good moment for me with my EVOL. I thought after me yelling out 'yes' he would pick me off the ground and spin me around all while pressing his lips against mine.

Wow. I've been reading waaay too many cliche novels.

But still,you never know if someone's a romantic until you are in a romantic relationship with them? *hint hint

I snap out of my serious contemplating of whether Tyler is a romantic or not and see him giving me an extremely confused look.

I stare at him back confused.

Why Is he confused?

Was it something I said?

OMG! I was too eager for a date wasn't i?!

Well he is my EVOL for goodness sakes don't blame me if I'm a little bit eager.

What are you saying Brooke get it together! Yeh Brooke toughen up.

"Uhm....ok? You do realise I just said that I was gonna be late tomorrow " Tyler says.

Wait, late for what?

"Uhhh science we are lab partners.... Wait. You're name is Brooke right otherwise I'm gonna have to be searching for some nerd girl I don't even know around school"

Wait....I said my question out loud?

And....he answered it?

Omg! Tyler Blake answered my question.

Tyler waves his hand in front of my face and I snap out of my happy land.

"No. I'm Brooke it's ok." I say shyly.

"So, we have our first assignment due on Thursday so I was thinking that we meet up my house maybe after school today?" Tyler asks.

My ducking EVOL just asked me a question!!!

Aaahhhh!

I open my mouth, hoping to say something which makes sense but all I come up with is

"Train.......radio......ashdkf.........abfdsa......udhems" I'm at a loss of words.

I look to my right and see Luke puffing and coming to stand next to me.

Thankfully he listened to our conversation and saves me from embarrassment

"She'll meet you today and your car Then you can go home together" says Luke.

After that Tyler gives me a lopsided smile then turns and walks to the direction of the fountain. Thad where all the jocks and popular girls sit.

I turn around ready to leave with Luke but hear a witch cackling. What the hell ?!

I whirl around and see Daniel laughing so much that he's clutching his stomach and tears are streaming out of his eyes.

"What's so funny?" I sneer.

This guy is a total Manwhore! With his perverted comments and smirk that makes all the girls go gaga over him.

But,not me.

"Y-your f-f-ace. When you saw that dude you looked like a totally head over heels lovesick puppy! I could see that sparkle crap people talk about when they're in love.

I give him he best death glare I can muster, but sadly I can't glare at people.

According to Luke, my eyes are so innocent looking that turning them into mean slits doesn't work.

It only just makes him laugh harder. I cross my arms over my chest.

It's not my fault that I can't glare at people!

"You are either totally in love with the guy or you worship him like he rest of the school.

I feel the heat creeping up my cheeks as soon as he says the word 'love'.

I don't just love him; I EVOL him.

His face turns from laughter to an amused smile when he realises he word love caught me off gaurd.

"Hey, listen, whoever you are dude just back off Brooke." Says Luke protectively.

I give him a small smile, which he returns for standing up for me.

I am very thankful to have Luke as my best friend. Not once, but twice has he saved my ass today.

Oh, boy do I owe him!

He loops his arm in mine and we take off to the garden to eat lunch.

He knows that after that problem I can't stay inside for so long.

I just need some fresh air.

As we walk outside I feel the fresh air hit me like a closed door.

I breathe the air in,thinking about how good it is to have friends like Luke and Gemma.

We've been friends since Kindergarten. Best friends.

We sit on the grass and I lean back on my hands thinking about my childhood.

There was this friend, who I vaguely remember. I wonder where they are now.

Hmmm.

I push the thought from my head and grab my half eaten lunch from my bag.

I don't want to think if the past; never.

Instead, I think about who awesome it is going to be going to Tyler's place today.

I just hope I can make it through with a few normal sentences.
