(Author: this chapter is seriously long and it took me forever to work on it) I wake up at 10:12am on my own. The light burned my eyes so I hiss in pain while turning my head away from the ray of light that's in my room. I turn over onto my left side and look at the time. I sigh and let out a long yawn. I had started growing my fangs already. They're still pretty dull, but they're kinda thick. I get up, walk over to my window with my eyes closed and shut my curtains closed. I sigh with relief, walk back to my bed and lay back down. I was still really tired, so I decided to fall back asleep.

I wake up again at 1:55pm feeling less tired this time. I rub my eyes and sit up. I immediately smell something burning. I quickly throw my blanket off of me, run to my door, swinging it open so hard that it hits the wall, leaving a dent, and it closing on itself. "Mom?!" I call out, worried about the smell and her. I go down the stairs as fast as I can without falling and skipped a couple of steps by jumping over them and landing on the floor. I run to the kitchen and look in to see my mom fanning at the microwave with some junk mail. A bunch of smoke was coming out of the microwave and going up the ceiling. I run over to the left to open the big sliding door to the backyard. "What happened, mom??" I asked in confusion and concern. "I forgot to add water to my soup." She was making some soup in the microwave and, as she said, forgot to add water, which caused the noodles to burn. I help her get rid of the smoke and smell by getting a can of air freshener from under the sink and helping her fan out the smoke with a kitchen towel.

After she was done cleaning the microwave, I decided that we get started on making the food. With what my mom has told me in the past, we won't be needing to make any stuffing. Which is great, since I never liked it. I pull out the containers of meat with the labels out of the fridge and check inside the oven for any pans. I grab a long rectangular pan and put the legs and thighs on the pan. I start to add spices and seasonings. I put the pan in the oven, put the temperature up 450°F, and start it.

(*huge time skip cause I'm tired*)

It's 6:00pm and everything is done and my grandma and grandpa are the first to come. My grandma is the type of grandma that would always cook you whatever you wanted, would kick anyone's ass if they messed with you but would also kick yours if you did something seriously bad, and would also be chill most of the time. She lets me swear around her but not big ones. She lets me say ass, crap, and shit. She said I can say fuck when I'm 18 {but I'm already saying it at school}.

My grandpa is the type that would always have candy in his pockets when he comes to visit, is always on the couch, is actually really nice but if I was a girl, he'd have a shotgun on his lap when he knows that I'm having a guy friend over. He doesnt the mind the swearing either as long as I dont say it directly to my grandma. Like saying she smells like ass or shit. Nothing like that. I love my gammy too much to say that to her.

Me and my mom start setting up the table while my grandma sits on the couch knitting a scarf she's been working on, and my grandpa watching football on the recliner with the comfy footrest. I helped my mom lay out a black table sheet and then we start putting the food out neatly and put the plates and silverware next to the plates.

The doorbell rings and I run over to it to answer it. I open the door to see my uncle and aunt. My uncle is 6'4, with blood red skin, horns that curve forward, and he's really buff. He has thick curly short hair. He was wearing a sleeveless sweater that's dark blue with black jeans. My aunt is sweet lady. She was wearing a dark red turtle neck sweater with a dark gray leather jacket. And black skinny jeans with some high black leather boots. They smiled and hugged me after they said hi to me. I hugged them both back as best as I can and walked to the kitchen to check on my mom with the table and food.

Everything was beautifully set up. I smiled at it and wished my father could see this in person. But I know he's watching us. His spirit is with us all the time without us knowing it. My grandma, grandpa, uncle, and aunt sit at the table. The doorbell rings again and I question it. I walk over to the door to see Greg! I had forgot that he was spending thanksgiving with me this year! I smiled in surprise and greeted him with our handshake and he greets me back with the handshake. I move to the side so he can step in and we made our way to the table. I sat on the right side of the table with him and my mom. My grandma, uncle, and aunt sat on the other side, and my grandpa sat on the smaller side of the table where only one seat can fit in the space. We take turns on filling our plates and pass a few of the bowls back forth across the table if they were too far from us.

We all eat in silence but it wasn't awkward. It was peaceful hearing the silverware softly hit the plates a few times when someone scoops their food. My grandpa had left the tv on, so it wasn't all that quiet. My grandpa sat where he was able to still watch tv while eating.

My uncle broke the silence by asking my mom a question. "Has he learned any magic yet?" My mom looks at him and wipes her mouth with her napkin. "Mm, not yet." I look at my uncle in confusion. "Am I supposed to be learning magic right now?" My uncle looks at me and nods. "Yea! I started learning at your age." My eye brows go up and I look at my mom. "When can I learn magic, mom?" She looks at me then down at the table as if she was thinking. "..hmm." She looks back up at me. " I suppose you can start learning magic right now. I'll buy you the books when I get more money, sweetie." I smile knowing that I'll be getting a head start on learning magic. My uncle looked at my mom and shook his head no. "You dont need to spend your money. I'll lend him my books." He smiled at the last part while looking at me. I was looking at him while he was talking and smiled even more. "Thank you, uncle Abyss." He gives me a nod and continues eating his food as do I.

After nearly an hour until everyone finishes their food, me and greg go up to my room to play video games while my mom, grandma, grandpa, uncle, and aunt stay downstairs and talk to each other. Greg had brought one of his games, " Lizzy wants to play." Its a horror game that involves you to try and avoid her through the night around the house. But it's really challenging since the house in the game isnt all that big with trying to find places to hide. And in the game, you have to survive for 5 days. And each day there's a new character with Lizzy except on the last. Day one, Lizzy will roam around the house to look for you, but she's kinda slow. Day two is with a demented teddy bear that looks for you and will scream to let Lizzy know where you are. The third night is of a clown. You have to be quiet when or he'll find you and you'll die. So when you run, it's loud to his ears, so you cant really run. Fourth night is a puppet that will be in the hiding spots at random times. So if you go in the spot he's in, you die. And on the fifth night, that's when lizzy will be faster on looking for you and will run if she sees you until you lose her.

Me and greg were taking turns playing since it wasnt a multiplayer game. We played non-stop because we both kept losing by day three. We played up to midnight{he was spending the night at my house} and we had to go to the kitchen a few times to get some food, something to drink, and we got some snacks, like chips and cookies. When it was 12:37am, we were starting to get tired and we barely made it up to night four. We decided to go to bed since his mom was going to pick him early tomorrow. My mom had put a blowup mattress in my room near my bed. I gave him one my pillows and I got him a blanket. We shut everything off and I knocked out.

The next morning at around 11am, I wake up to the sound of ringtone going off. I look at m phone to see if it was me but it wasnt. I look at greg's and his screen is on. He had got a message from his mom saying that she was on her way to pick him up. I go down to him and lightly shake him to wake him up. "Greg. Greg, wake up." His eyes flutter open and he looks at me. "What...?" He asked with tiredness in his voice. "Your mom is coming to pick you up right now." He looks at me in confusion and checks his phone. He reads the text and sighs softly. He puts his phone down at rubs his eyes. I go back to my bed and go on my bed. Scrolling through my app of memes. I snicker and laugh at some. Greg lays there and eventually falls back asleep.

At 12:15pm, my mom comes in my room. She sees that Greg's asleep and she looks at me. "Can you wake him up? His mother is here." I look at her and nod. I go over to Greg again and shake him one last time. He groans and wakes up. "Hey, your mom is here." Greg groans again and gets up. My mom walked out once he got up and went downstairs to talk to his mom. Greg got his phone and game and I got up and waited for him by the stairs. He looks at me and walks over to me. I start walking down the stairs and by the front door. He comes down, grabbed his shoes and put them on. We say bye and do our handshake before he leaves with his mom. His mom and my mom say goodbye and she closes the door. I go back upstairs to my room and watch tv.
