Chapter 1 : Greenfield High Queen

Brittany Young was everything every girl wanted to be : smart , beautiful  and popular .  When you looked into her astonishing sea blue eyes it felt like you could go on forever . Guys wanted to date her and girls wanted to be her.  Brittany seemed to be so perfect and she was except that she was a liar and her four best friends were about to find that out - the hard way .

It was the end of the school year and Brittany Young and her four best friends Bailey Myers , Marley Cross , Sophia Bowen and Riley Richards.
"I bet I can hallucinate you " Brittany had said mysteriously .
"And I bet you can't " said Bailey stiffly.
Bailey Myers was the brains of the bunch  and was elected mayor of the school , multiple times , and was nominated for many awards such as the Golden Orchid. The Golden Orchid was a history competition that only 1 in 600 people ever took part in but there was a twist to it . That only Brittany , Bailey , Baileys sister ( Cleo) and their parents that knew about.
In a rush , Bailey had copied her sisters test onto her hard drive and transferred it to her own computer , only changing two things : her name and the date .This was not like the Bailey that most people knew but it didn't come as a surprise to Brittany . In fact Marley reckoned she heard Brittany talking to Bailey just before she told her parents that she had cheated on the Golden Orchid . " Tell your mom, dad and your sister what happened with the competition or I will tell them what happened and your other dirty dirty secret" ...

"If I was you I would never under estimate Brit , you know what she's like " Riley spoke , pulling her wavy strawberry blonde hair behind her ears . Riley was probably the most innocent out of them all , but she too , had her secrets that only Brittany knew about . Compared to Brittany , Riley felt huge , her arms looked like a string of sausages, her legs were double if not triple of hers and her stomach bulged . When she became friends with Brittany , Mr and Mrs Richards were going through a difficult divorce , so she began to binge but not long after she began to feel guilty and fat , so Riley went to the bathroom and forced her fingers or a toothbrush down her throat until she was sick. Sometimes , it was okay and came out easily but other times it pained her like crazy , sometimes causing a small tear to come to her eye, but after she had gone through this stomach clenching routine , she felt amazing , on top of the world even , it was like she had come out of the bathroom like a whole new person . Of course her body wasn't changing rapidly , so you couldn't see the change on the outside but on Tue inside she felt a feeling she had never felt before. A feeling of confidence and since Brittany came into her life the feeling never left and Riley had some sort of instinct that it was never going to either .
"We're going to be friends forever " Brittany spoke enthusiastically
"Forever and ever " replied Marley.
Like the rest of them , she too had a secret , hers perhaps was worst than the rest of them , it was something more serious than theirs . Her mom had aggressive lung and bowel cancer . Marley had found out last year when some mail was addressed to her mom , she figured her mom was hiding something from her , something big. Brittany had kept telling her to open it , Marley didn't want to do it ,because she felt like she was betraying her by doing so , but Brittany had kept telling her it was the right thing to do and in the end Marley ended up opening the letter because she couldn't say no to a face like Brittany's. When she opened the letter and saw the words cancer, the colour drained from her face , Brittany new immediately that something was wrong , so like every normal friend would do she snatched the letter from her hands and skim read it , figuring that Caroline Myers had aggressive lung and bowel cancer , Brittany tried her hardest to comfort her for the following weeks , being her shoulder to cry on , when times got really hard she would take her to the park , where they first met when they were in 3rd grade , all those years ago . When Bailey's mom found out she had read the letter , she didn't go crazy like both of the girls had predicted , but she was calm and understanding , saying that she understood that she was concerned about her and that she would have done the same if it was her mom . But then Mrs. Myers said to Bailey , that she could never tell no one about the cancer , no matter what the consequence . Bailey didn't have the guts to tell her mom that Brittany knew too , she couldn't even imagine what she would say to her after she told her that story. That evening , Bailey  had sent a S.O.S to Brittany , when her mom had gone out for a formal dinner . When they met up , she had made Brittany swear to secrecy about the 'incident' that happened earlier that day .

"Definitely , to the end ," said Sophia .
Sophia and Brittany had the most history together . Back in 8th grade , when Brittany and Sophia first became friends , she had told Brittany about her encounter with her boyfriend , Hunter. She had tried breaking up with him because she liked ' someone ' but when Hunter found out that the special ' someone'  was a girl , Hunter went crazy , especially when he figured that Brittany was the girl Sophia liked , he went ape shit . Hunter was known for hating lesbians and he especially hated Brittany , not that she was a lesbian or anything , he just thought that she was too far up her own ass and she cared more about herself than she did anybody else . When Hunter , realised this , he sexually harassed Sophia , touching her in places she didn't want to be touched , groping her . When she got home that night , she told Brittany everything that happened , she promised not to tell anyone about her scary story , and that she was going to get sweet revenge for him , without letting a word out of what happened .

They all had their secrets that they told Brittany ,but Brittany had secrets that she had not told them  ...
