Deku's POV

Kacchan stopped fighting me while me locked eyes on each other. We sat there for a second before I laughed and scooted next to him and put my head on his shoulder.

"Don't push it," Kacchan says as he moves my head off his should a bit roughly.

"Jeez Kacchan don't be so stiff."

"Shut it, broccoli."

I laugh, "Broccoli? Cute."

Kacchan grunts in an annoyed tone, "You weren't supposed to take it that way."

I chuckle and ignored him, watching the water lap at the shore, and seeing the sun reflect off of the silky-looking ocean. Then I hear him say something oddly surprising.

"Stupid Izuku," He mutters, but I can still hear it. My attention fades away from the water and it's now on Kacchan.

"Izuku?" I ask. It felt weird even though it was my own name. Kacchan's eyes widen, realizing what he just said.

"S-shut up."

My mind fades from the sea, to my realization that I actually do love him. But he wouldn't love me, he thinks so very lowly of me. My happiness dies, and suddenly I desperately want to leave. I want to leave my spot next to Kacchan, leave the the ledge, leave the warmth that is coming from Kacchan.

Just go. He hates you. He'll turn you in if he gets the chance.

Even if Kacchan seemed so much calmer than normal, I couldn't trust him.

Kacchan's attention was elsewhere, and he seemed to be deep in thought. I start to silently slip away down into the alleyway when suddenly I feel a firm grip on my hand.

"Where are you off to in a hurry?" Kacchan says in a low voice. He doesn't look over at me, he just says it and continues to look out into the sea. I'm quiet for a little bit before I answer shamefully.

"..The LOV." A look of anger washes over his face, but only for a second. He releases his grip on my arm, then looks as me with annoyance in his eyes.

"Stay here." I had to think twice about what he said. Like, what??

"What?"

"I said stay here," He mumbles a bit louder. I hesitate.

"o..okay?" I honestly can't comprehend why Kacchan, Kacchan would want me, a villain, to stay and sit with him and watch the sun rise.

"Don't say it like a question, moron. You wanted to watch the stupid sunrise, right? The sun isn't all the way up yet," he says. I sigh, what a 'Kacchan' explanation, huh. I climb back up to the ledge, and quite awkwardly now that I'm not laughing and giggling at everything Kacchan says. We sit for about 20 minutes without a single word. Thoughts were swarming my head. Not thoughts, questions. Such as; why was Kacchan doing this? did he bring another pro? does he actually tolerate me? I take a quick glance over at him, and he looks like he hasn't moved at all. Eventually the thoughts started to get overwhelming again. I decided to muster the courage to ask him.

"Um. Kacchan?"

"What." He says angrily.

"Why do you care? Like, why are you being somewhat nicer to me?"

He didn't answer. I instantly regretted it. I really shouldn't have asked him.

"Maybe it's because you're different, numb-rod."
