Prelude:"The extraordinary man who did extraordinary things." Did. Past tense. I didn't think I would ever need to show someone my true form — wasn't pretending to be human enough? Maybe if I fought harder to hide my feelings. Maybe if I fought harder to hide from her. Would things have been any different? I thought nonchalantly to myself as I pushed myself through the foggy, windy mist and onto the sidewalk of an apartment complex.
I had to tell; explain.
I sighed, cold air flying off my lips into a cloud of mist before me. I knocked twice on the wooden door, standing back after I heard a click. My mind was still reeling from the idea of even confessing my thoughts and feelings to her — the gem.
The door opened and there stood a semi-short blonde-haired woman in a long black cardigan, sweatpants, and bunny slippers. The gem she was - the gem I'll never deserve.
"Fergal?" She gasped, almost in fear. "You really shouldn't be here." Her eyes wandered mine for my intentions, preferably the bad ones because when has anyone ever looked past those and into the good ones?
"Emilee, I - I need to explain the events that occurred, or the ones that you saw, at least." I exclaimed. I could feel the sense of a door being slammed on my face, but it didn't happen. Emilee stepped aside and allowed me to enter.
"Please, have a seat, Devitt." I did as told. The way she looked at me with hatred and frustration would never leave my mind. You see, Emilee had been the only one to support me. To see me for me and not the malicious and gored demon with blood spewing from his mouth.
"Explain."
Her words were firm, and I understood why. I mean, how would you feel if the man you came to know was actually a demonic thing with no soul.
"I should've told you sooner, but truthfully, you wouldn't have wanted anything to do with me." I confessed. "Finn Bálor is a demigod, Emilee. A powerful, powerful being that I have no control over."
"Wait," She raised her hand cutting me off, "I thought you said the man made the demon."
Fuck.
I did say that.
"To a certain extent, my dear," I chuckled softly, "But recently, Bálor went rouge and is no longer under m-my control," I stuttered, "It's too OP!" Was she believing my words? Am I looking like an absolute joke?
"Show me."
"Excuse me?" I almost chuckled.
"Show me Finn Bálor." She crossed her arms and pressed her lips together.
"Absolutely not." I snapped.
"I call bullshit, Fergal," She scoffs, "Get out of my house, liar." My pupils grew in size and my shirt tore in half. I let out a loud shrieking yell before pinning Emilee to the wall. "Listen here, Princess," I squeezed her neck, "I don't take orders from brats, you get me? I do when I want whenever I want, and there isn't a goddamn thing your tiny ass can do about it."
"Dokímasé me!" She choked out.
"W-what?" I released my grip around her neck and dropped her to her knees, backing away.
"Dokímasé me." She said with a smirk.
Try me...
