•amongst these is an institution called the state. the state came into existence in order to establish peace and security in society.

•man became a integral part of the state as a citizen. as a citizen every person should know about the state and government

•political science educates and enlightens the citizens about their liberties, rights and duties

•such enlightened citizen is extremely important in a democratic set up
