Chapter 4: A Tale Of Two Fates!

Authors note: I have added a special thing to this chapter. I will try and add a map to the chapter. It wont be In the chapter itself, however when you view the details you should see it. Please read this chapter before looking at the map. We don’t want to ruin the surprise now do we? As always, vote, comment, and fan please!!! The battle was about to being. Over 12 000 rebel forces were at his door step. He currently had his gates closed, and troops called up inside the fortress. Only the archers were all in the walls, and filling their archer towers. The 1 200 towers alone would rival that of an army. Assuming he had 1 archer to a  tower. But no, his towers were larger, with 3 archers to a tower. He had strengthened his foresees defence by a large margin. All his archers had higher range while on the towers or walls defending. each of his forces would get 2 shots guaranteed before they were shot at. He had 3 600 archers in the archer towers, that would get 3 or 4 shots off before having to hide from return fire. That means he could easily kill down 10 000 enemy solders before he started to lose solders. And the walls could easily do more. He had 5 000 archers total, with 3600 missing, that was still 1400 left on the walls, that shot 2 times each, and that its self would kill close to 2 800 enemy solders. Zlord hoped that his archers would do all the work, however once they had to hide from return arrows, he had 2 groups of 50 catapult hidden behind the enemy lines, as soon as his archers were off the walls he would sound the horn and rain fire on the rebels.  Than his archers would go back to the walls and finish off the enemy troops. Removing any remaining solders from, the battle field, if they were not dealt with already.

 Many would not believe him if he told them he defeated that army without any losses. But those people, did not know Z.

 “ what do you mean ‘we failed’ how dose 35 000 troops fail to defeat an army of less than 3 000!!!” Marcus asked the battle report crew.

 “well sir, their defences are not like we believed, there were so many archer towers, far to many to count, and their walls, the archers were lining it. And because of such higher elevation we needed to get closer before our archers could shoot back. By the time we got close enough neatly all were dead. And the enemy archers simply left the wall. And to our surprise there was catapult fire hitting us seconds after. My report team barley made it out of their alive. And on top of that, we saw they had cavalry in the bushes that were going to follow after the catapult had scattered the formation. We saw them when they returned to the castle but we were already leaving by than” the report crew said in reply to Marcus’s question.

 “well, obviously we have failed, we cannot defeat him. Those were nearly all of our forces. Well, sound the retreat. Have all forces move to this fortress. Burn the other 2. we need to survive this. We will send a message to the Americans later asking for assistance. Hopefully they will consider using us to better understand Z’s power, so that they can defeat him eventually. Although it wont be easy for them, as they are already being forced to retreat because of the Russian’s that are forcing them back.” Said councillor James.

 “yes, we will have to do that” said Marcus.

“milord, the scout crew has returned, they report that the missile strike ,that hit 17 years ago, has lost its impact. The place is once again liveable.” Said the Zlord private messenger.

“good, good, iv been waiting for this. Have the worker crew assemble, I  want them to dig a small pass threw. There will be  a large slope in know, but I want it to be passable, solders and armies need to be able to get threw. Once that is done, we can send an other worker crew to begin building the Promolong. It will be the most powerful fortress yet! And with its easily defendable location it will be able to do wonders!” said Z lord before waving away the messenger.
