"Nico, why didn't you tell me? I would've understood." She stopped running to catch her breath. "And there's something I have to tell you."
I look at her and tilt my head a little bit."What?"
"Nico... I'm bi."
"Hazel that's amazing! Have you told Frank?"
"No. Just you." So I'm the first one she told. Wow. That's a lot of trusts. "Nico, I'm scared."
"Hazel, it's okay. Frank will be fine with it."
"But Romans are expected to be perfect and they're not supposed to be..." She doesn't finish.
"Bi?"
"Yeah..."
"Don't worry. After Jason died Piper came out as bi and people accepted her. And when Percy..." I blinked back tears." When Percy died Annabeth came out. Everyone who knew her was fine with it. "
"Okay, but I'm still scared that no one will be okay with it and they'll hate me."
"Hazel." I looked at Will and let go of his hand to walk over to Hazel. I looked at her. "People will never hate you. You are the nicest person I know."
"Thanks, Nico."
"Now, come on. They'll be waiting."
