Owo There's a difference between protagonists and main characters. Protagonists are the POV character; the character whose eyes you're looking through. Main characters are just characters that are important; it's more of an umbrella term. Anyways, onto the Protagonists!
> Malachite This is our main main character. She's the most common PoV. Malachite was born to General Abyss and --. Her paternal grandfather was a nightwing; for this reason, Queen Coral does not trust her. She sent Malachite and her family to the outskirts of the Sea Kingdom. She is very pessimistic, sarcastic, and rarely opens up to anybody.

> Rowan Rowan was the offspring of a rainwing mother and a mudwing father. Her father, being a mudwing, instinctively believed they should leave Rowan and her sibs to fend for themselves. Her mother seemed reluctant, but she didn't care much either, being a rainwing. So Rowan grew up on her own; most of her sibs didn't make it through the first year of their life. She was lonely and bored until she found an egg, belonging to her younger sib, Loki. Together, they found Pumpkin abandoned and took her in, and now they move around, not seeming to be able to settle in one place at a time.

> Deathseer Most of Deathseer's past is unknown; she's only about 4 years old, having been born a year after Darkstalker's rule started, during a blood moon. This gave her the ability to prophesize other's deaths. This might seem cool, but it really isn't. She grew up paranoid and anxious, as every time she looked at a dragon she'd see a glimpse of their death- some bloody, some quiet, but all of them traumatizing for a young dragonet. She didn't know who to tell, since she had never heard of anybody like her. > Permafrost A cold, icy figure, Permafrost's past is also unknown. They have a fierce hatred of the nightwing king, but it's unknown why to everybody but Peregrine, who they see as a bit of a father figure. They are believed to be a hybrid between an icewing and a rainwing, but the rainwing side doesn't really show.
