Chapter 5: We're going to the Fair!

I ask Jazzmin what we are doing today and she said that we are going to the fair today! She gave me, the Doodlebops, Amber, and Samantha the day off. I'm so excited that I drank my orange juice too fast with my breakfast and hiccuped. I told Deedee that she can go on the carousel, teacups, Music Express, bumper cars and the Ferris Wheel with me. I start packing my backpack with my wallet, sunglasses, sunscreen, a sweat rag and a water bottle in case I get thirsty. Amber tells me that Samantha is her best friend who helps Audio Murphy with audio/visual effects for the music videos. I ask Rooney and Moe if they packed their backpacks for the fair. I search through their backpacks to see if they packed everything I told them to pack. Deedee packed hers last night after dinner along with Amber and Samantha. I'm worried that the fans going to the fair will recognize me and the Doodlebops. Maybe they'll want us to sign autographs for them before they leave? Samantha abruptly tells me to stop being so worried. I hear the bus horn honk which means Bus Driver Bob is waiting for us outside the Clubhouse. Mazz is going to meet us at the fair with her cousin Jumping Judy. If people ask who we are, me and my friends have to say the code word "Butternut". Then I'll know that me and the Doodlebops won't be exposed out in public especially at an event like this. I get a hot dog and curly fries for lunch and watch as Rooney wins a huge plush from playing ring toss. I say "My aim isn't that good as yours and I really want to play". I practiced ring toss after breakfast this morning to get my aim towards the stacking pole right! Rooney demonstrates how I should my position my arm before tossing the rings. I won a plush bunny! Amber says "What are you going to call your plush bunny?" and I tell her that I am going to name the bunny Bruno. A fan and his parents start walking close to me. His name is Samuel and his parents took him to the fair today. I say the code word "Butternut" and Amber's other best friend Katherine comes rushing to my side. She says to Samuel "Don't look at the Doodlebops in public, today is their day off." Deedee and Katherine want to go to on the Music Express. I need to know where to put Bruno so no one will steal him from me. Samantha immediately tells Rooney to get Amber and that both of them should put my plush bunny Bruno in the tour bus. They start running to the parking lot in a flash. Moe wants to know what ride I am going on and then we are going to watch the pie-eating contest. Some of the Doodlebops fans are participating in the pie-eating contest at the fair. They have to eat as many blueberry pies as they can before the alarm goes off. I sit down in a chair and watch along with Moe. Rooney and Deedee just got off the Ferris and they also want to watch the pie-eating contest with us. I said "Hey you two! Me and your brother were saving these two seats for you with our backpacks." Some of the fans are watching the contest too. I might start freaking out sooner or later. A fan named Alyssa introduces herself to me and wants to know what I do in the band. I say the code word "Butternut" for the second time. Mazz comes over to us immediately and says "Sorry if it sounds sick, you can't see the band in public". In my mind, I'm thinking "Why are me and my friends getting noticed by Doodlebops fans at the fair?". We really need to get a bodyguard to protect wherever we go in public on a day off. Everyone enjoyed the fair. I say "Who wants pizza for dinner tonight?" and my friends reply "We may be full from the festival but we could go for a sausage pizza when we get back to Doodlebop Central".
