Rude Awakening

A loud crash sounded from downstairs, which woke the sleeping male. He let out a groan as he rolled onto his side, opening an eye. It was still a bit dark outside, probably just before dawn.

"What the FUCK is going on in there?" The boy groaned as he heard Stan shout from his bedroom, followed by loud footsteps. Dipper slowly sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes before climbing out of bed.

He debated going down there to see for himself what was going on. The noise had quieted down a bit, which was strange because Stan always had a temper when he was woken up early. Dipper made his way out of his room and down the stairs to investigate.

As he neared the front of the Shack, he could hear Stan's voice. " You got the job, kid. You'll start today."

'Must be someone looking for a job,but this early in the day?' Dipper thought to himself as he came around the corner to see the person that Stan was talking to. He stopped dead in his tracks, eyes widening as he saw that it was none other than the demon he came across the other day.

He was about to turn and go back up the stairs but Stan had already saw him. "Ah up early to start working eh? Come over here and meet our new employee."

Dipper let out a dreaded sigh as he walked over to them. He shot a glare at Bill who had only responded with a devilish smirk. ' What is he planning?'

"The newbie's name is William. Show him around will ya?" Stan said, followed by some mumbling about going back to sleep.

Once he was out of range, Dipper narrowed his eyes at the demon who had found his way into the Shack. "Really? William. What exactly is your angle?"

Bill's smirk didn't waiver. "Just show me the ropes, Pinetree."

The way he had said 'Pinetree' always made him shiver. He grit his teeth as he turned his back to the other.

The next few hours were dreadful for the boy. No one else had woken up yet so it was just him dealing with the demon's looming presence. Dipper never took his eyes off of him. If he knew Bill, he was certain that he was planning something again, and he was going to find out.

It wasn't much longer before Mabel had surfaced. She went into the kitchen and came out with a muffin, nearly dropping it at the sight of the newcomer. She quickly shoved it into her mouth before walking over.

"Dipper! Who's your friend?" She asked, with that tone that she uses every time she sees a boy that she views as attractive. Before Dipper could even answer her, she turned to Bill with her hand outreached. "Hi, I'm Mabel."

Dipper rolled his eyes at the fact that his sister never grew out of her boy crazy phase. He stayed close by to make sure Bill didn't try anything. 

"Oh hello there. The name's William and I'll be working with you from now on. " Bill said with a sense of coolness in his voice. He held his hand out to Mabel and she took it, lightly shaking it as she giggled. 

"It's nice to meet you, William! Is it cool if I call you Will?" Mabel responded with a cheery voice as she twirled a lock of hair with her free hand.

"Of course, the pleasure is mine. " Bill released her hand as he slightly bowed.

Dipper grunted in disgust as he picked up a box to unload the contents into the gift shop.

"Awe someone's jealous!" He heard Mabel say from behind him.

He shoved some items on the shelf. "No I'm not!"

I'm watching out for you. How can you not see past his lies?
